I’d rather have the newer tech and better performing 2.7.

Dude...sorry but you have a lot of non-Ford folks here and others that have foggy brains. I get it now.
For non-old folks, he's referring to the Ford FE engines. I'm old enough to know and have a foggy brain from learning I get to see a Bronco at the end of April. I even did a poor man's rebuild on a 352 out of a F-600. Ran like a top afterward. My only experience with one.
