LOCK UP YOUR DOORS - HOW?

Is this what is meant by Ford calling the doors "frameless"? I've been trying to figure this term out and what it meant....so, it just means around the window, the glass, there's no door frame, right?

Thats the whole problem, the glass is frameless so noplace for a chain to lock.
I think any bolt holes will be too small.....

I am glad they are frameless. The Jeep doors are huge with the window frames. I usually leave my four Jeep doors in my garage, and run with tube doors. It's loud and windy, but that is just part of the experience. Not sure yet if I will be getting the Ford tube doors or see what comes out third party, but I can't wait!

So, is this your set-up? If so, do you have more pics or instructions on what/how you built this? I have a hoist for the hard top roof but didn’t think about a contraption to hold the doors. Love the mobility and compact, but would like a way to put it in the air (hoist, I have two kids7/9 likely that one of them or their friend damages...

I could easily see this (and honestly it would be hilarious).
I doubt there will be roving gangs of Bronco Door Bandits (good band name), but campgrounds and drunk hell raisers often fo hand in hand.

Yes, this is more to deter drunk neighbor campers from doing something "funny".

Guys, I personally see many drunks in campgrounds, and the BS that brings.

The question is:
Does anyone have some ideas on how to lock up the doors while camping in a drive in campground, like to a tree?

I DIDNT ask:
- Could someone really steal the doors at a campground?
- Can someone break a chain or cable?
- Can someone steal the doors off a Bronco with a soft top?
- Should I just leave them at home?
- How can I 100% secure the doors in the back country?
- Will roaming bands of crack head door thief's start a syndicate of an underground door reselling racket like catalytic converters?
- How can I best hide the doors?

Nobody wants to drive 4 hours on the freeway witn no doors....

Driven a lot of miles back in the day with no doors on my CJ7. The only way to stay cool in the TN and GA summers, especially in a Heep with no carpet and a bare steel floor.

Having said that, I'm not in my teens / 20s any more, so I hear you. I wouldn't now that I'm older and appreciate AC.

Agree, if you don’t want to leave them at home. Leave them wherever you sleep/slept that night. Your moms house, the tent, the hotel, etc if you’re that worried.

Thanks for the suggestion. The question wasn't where to put them, it was how to lock them up like to a tree.
I personally have a smaller tent and don't want to haul them in and out every time I want to use the inside of the tent. I much prefer to pitch camp, get the doors off and chained to a tree - then relax and move about with slightly more piece of mind someone wont mess with them.

Bring an extra, small tent. Store them in there and lock them in a huddle. Through hinges, arm rests, however and whatever. maybe something like this to run through the hinge holes?

That's my feeling as well, I'm in my 50's. I love driving around the mountains with no doors. I live in a city. And for the to-and-from camping drive - I prefer closed doors and AC. Traffic & sometimes getting back at night.

Actually that is the best idea I have heard. Buy a cheap ozark or whatever cheap brand from wally world.
