Okay, now that is something I can get excited about. My Plan B has been the all new 2023 4Runner.
Not if it has the 3.5 atkinson like the new Tacoma. It's the sole reason I don't just get a newer taco as my interim car while waiting for my Bronco. I'll be VERY shocked if it's an EV

It's and all new platform, the 2022 Tundra is the first up this year based on the platform, is this the engine your talking about?

They're moving the 4Runner to the Tundra platform? Wow...that's a big change.

And yes, the 3.5 in the Taco, specifically with the auto trans is an absolute chud - underpowered, always searching for gears, etc. If they still had the 4.0L that's in my 2009 Tacoma I'd have a newer one for sure.

Toyota is basing the 6th gen 2023 4Runner on an entirely new platform and will be available in the fall of 2022. The new platform, not a refresh, called the TNGA-F, will be shared by the Tundra, Tacoma, Sequoia and 4Runner. While it will not be a direct competitor to the Bronco it will be competition some will consider a viable option.
Toyota is currently preparing to reveal a slew of all-new body-on-frame vehicles based on an upcoming TNGA-F architecture. The Toyota Tundra is slated to be the first of these new models in 2021 followed by a new Toyota 4Runner and Sequoia in 2022, then a new Tacoma in 2024.

Good to know I have a new Taco to look forward to if the Bronco winds up being crap.

You know the Jax CUV speaks to something from my childhood. I don't know what it is but the color and shape make me nostalgic for the car.

Was there a Eagle Sx4 in your childhood? Only in my dreams
