Dealer contacted me with below information on 9 March 21:

"Hello Dakota,

I am reaching out to inform you of Ford’s new guidance regarding your Bronco Order Reservation. The 2021 and 2022 orders need to be placed by March 19, 2021. If this deadline is not met, your Bronco Order Reservation will be cancelled. Please call me today to place your order and secure your place in line!"

I'm ordering a manual Sasquatch and we put my order as code 99 in WSDO a few weeks ago to wait for late availability ManSquatch option. I can't order with the configuration I want, so do I lose my spot now with this new guidance? Any insight would be great!

From what I understand, it just needs to be submitted as 99 and that's it. No need to lose your place in line and when ordering opens for 22 year, that's when you get to mod your build.
I thought this as well and I discussed this with my guy a few weeks ago when I built and put in code 99. I plan to call Ford in the morning but I am not sure if I'll get a solid answer.

Repeat after me:

"F*** you, try again."

@Bronc-OH is right. As long as it's entered as a priority 99 it's a confirmed order that will not be built. You should really emphasize that a priority 99 helps them versus losing a reservation (losing potential allocation spots) or not converting (again, losing potential allocation spots).

As was said, you can leave it in 99, so its not built, and reorder in 22. You can leave it as a reservation and just order a 22. If it's a 9/18 or older reservation, it helps the dealer if you 99 it as opposed to not converting till 22.

That's what my dealer said too. He didn't even ask for my build once I said I wanted MY22. He said he'd contact me when the time came to order.
