I’m still unclear. I thought the FE and WT had SAS stock, and everything else was non SAS, but SAS capable.
But the Badlands has some sort of lift also?
There appear to be two suspensions (or minor variations), getting Sasquatch replaces the suspension in the lower trims, which would give the lift. There is some... disagreement on my statement, but the basics are close enough.

I have been on WIldtrak since day 1 (so SAS all along) . . . tossed around the idea of opting up an OBX for a little while to overcome the beige (sandstone) leather but ultimately liked the black rims and accents too much to stay away from WT - finalized my day one order last week and now just awaiting the confirmation . . . that being said - I have just about zero need for SAS as my rig will be on asphalt and the occasional dirt road about 99% of the time - but it looks awesome and that is good enough for me . . . I am in for almost 60k - gonna have it!

I was with you, except the sandstone would have ended up looking like crap with my normal use and dirt generation. Plus I had minor concerns about light reflection of the dash in my eyes, so went to Badlands instead. The vehicles I take to work always end up having the interior caked in dirt, mud, and dust. WT interior wouldn't cut it. Sandstone would always be dingy no matter how much I cleaned. If I get booted to MY2022, might change my mind if they change their interior. I could also get the manual transmission, even though stuck with the 2.3. Sadly, for me, the Bronco isn't about getting options that I love, it is about minimizing the stuff I dislike.

I ordered a non sas 2 dr BB. Plan was to replace the tires with 33" AT's, swap the wheels, get the 4.27 axle, And get some kind of small lift - maybe BL shocks and springs.

I really don't need sas, but I'm not sure I'm up for the hassle of all of these mods. I can see myself giving in and changing my order to include sas.

I'm a late July res, so I'll probably see some 2 door sas's around before mine goes to build. Seeing one may put me over the edge.

Curious how others are dealing with this - Pull the trigger on getting a Sas even though you don't need it? Or sticking to your plan to mod it to a "mini sas" level?
That was my original plan, BB 4.27 gears and swap tires/wheels.

My biggest problem was not being sure which wheels would be available and which would work for the 33's. Then having to run out and get them.

For me going Sasquatch was the logical choice. I like the size of the tires and I get the 4.70 gears. Plus it avoids the hassle of taking delivery and going back out for new tires and wheels. Then I'd have to find someone to buy the original tires/wheels. So the extra money spent gets me what I wanted and gets it all up front. Throw in the fact that you gain better suspension and upgraded front axle. That and 2 lockers I'll probably never use. But it's what works for me.

Going with Squatch. For me personally, I know I'd end up regretting not even though it will see a pretty tame life. I would want the front and rear lockers regardless, and the big tires are a bonus...and the 4-door just look better with larger tires.

My FJCruiser came with 31s and I wasn't happy with it until I put on a lift and 33s. The Bronco would be the same way so I might as well go for it from the start. My '75 has 33s and it looks right. I moved my old Ram 2500 to 35s at 15k and loved it. My offroad truck had 44s...you can start to see the pattern.

Yeah I would undoubtedly prefer a simple, all black, leather . . . but without that option I am keeping my fingers crossed that I can tolerate the sandstone. I like the exterior too much to change . . . I did price Badlands a couple times but just really like the included SAS, 2.7 and less to add the LUX pkg with the WT - not needing the disco and all the upgraded hardware I am hoping I can keep things clean in the WT! Either way - gonna love it!!

Are you really talking shocks and springs, or coilovers like the Bronco comes with Sasquatch?

Redoing a suspension along with wheels and tires while paying for the truck is an expensive proposition if the idea was to save money.

If you're not planning to wheel the Bronco, sure, some money can be saved. However, if you plan to get on some dirt, the Sasquatch package is a really good deal for either a high level stage 1 or low level stage 2 kit (stage 2 if Badlands I'm guessing). Squatch is priced very competitively.
I read on the jeep forum where people would buy the sport and replace the springs and shocks with Rubicon springs and shocks and put on 33’s. Was thinking about doing the same thing but in a Bronco. But I’m starting to think that all of this hassle isn’t worth it. I either have to do BB sas or BL non sas.

I was originally hell bent on a SAS BD but ultimately decided to get a non-SAS BL because I get everything I want with that package. Upgraded suspension without the 35" tires I don't need.

If I was looking to do any suspension upgrades on my Bronco I'd be all over the Squatch package. That way it would be done the day I pick it up, and have Ford's 5/60000 drivetrain warranty also. I just don't think you can beat the price for what you get. Good luck on your decision. I had a hard enough time deciding on the tow package. Anything bigger, and I would need some serious therapy. :)

I took the same journey brother. Obx in concept fits my lifestyle better. But the wildtrak looks too good to pass up. Also the interior obx options gave me an existential crisis.

I didn't need SAS but I sure as heck ordered it. Go big or go home kept repeating in my head.

I originally had mine non-sasquatched BL but decided to change it to Sasquatch BL. I know I would regret not getting it in the future if I would have stayed non-Sasquatch.

while the idea of mods is fun on the surface to me, the idea of having my new ride in some shop for days installing things with no track record, potentially tossing my warranty out the window is not appealing at all. Maybe years down the trail, but not while it's new and shiny and I want to drive it further than the next 4x4 shop.
So 4 door BL Sashquatch it is for me. Haven't bought a new vehicle in 18 years, I want what I want now and luckily we can afford it.

Plus going through all the options this or that aftermarket shop might offer and comparing and deciding and then maybe not liking and all that, too much of a headache to go for. I don't have the tools or garage space to do any of that myself, nor would I want to. If I had all that I'd rather restore some rusty old classic or build a Hot Rod.

Now, do I "need" all this capability? Not at all, at least not for a good while, but if/when that time comes it's all there. Heck, I don't even "need" a new ride, my 18 year old Taco would easily go for an other couple years with how little I have to drive.

(plus I know I'd hate myself the first time I see a Squatched one next to mine...)

Alot of folks are going to regret not squatching and with a warranty why not,ive lifted plenty or rides its like pushing a snowball off a mt. Bigger tires now i need a lift to clear them, now its not geared right lots of work . Even though im prob goin 2in more than sas to clear 37s the gearing alone is worth it.
