The Carb Gray is part of the reason I like the Badlands optional wheels so much. I am also planning on painting or powder coating the warm alloy rings carb gray.
Yes, I think it’s gonna look great. What color BL are you getting? Asking cause I do think the Carb grey rings will be great on any BL but this race red did look sharp with the warm alloy.

Currently I'm going with Cactus Gray, but since ManSquatch is '22 I may opt for the green. Wish it would be Boxwood, but Ford will probably pick something ugly. 😢

So I get that powder coating might be more durable, or perhaps have a more pleasing sheen, but couldn't I just take my rings to a regular body shop and get them to put a coat of paint on there plus a clear coat that matches my body paint? That seems like it would be cheaper.

They're gonna be yours. You can do whatever the hell you want with them. You could use a sharpie for all we care.

Bronco rings are
Red, Orange and Silver
Raptor rings are
Red, Orange and Blue

Are they the same part? The blue option has be interested. Although I have no issue painting them myself. That way I can also touch them up when I scrape off the paint. Did that for years on my Stock Rubicon Rims

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the only difference between the FE wheels and the SAS wheels are the color of the beauty rings.

It seems pretty easy to swap them out. For me one of the drawbacks to the SAS wheels is that warm alloy beauty ring, swapping for a black ring or maybe a different color would be ideal.

I’m sure they will be available whether through Ford or aftermarket.

Anyone want to shed some more light on this? I know about zero on this topic...
Easy just get them power coated what ever color you like.

Oof! $500 for a set of 4 but then you need to buy the additional one for the 5th wheel on the back.
You know what's cheaper than that 5th ring?

;)

(Though you'll probably have to cut a slit in it to get it over your 35" tires...)

it would drive me nuts just knowing that it didn’t match... even if it was hidden under a tire cover 😂

quick question cuz i dont know jack about beadlock wheels. can you just take off the beauty ring and roll without them since they are probably the same black as the wheel? also can you buy a beauty ring that will not be a beadlock but actually utilized the bolts to show the whole 24 bolt pattern of a beadlock? like i said i dont know jack about these things. thanks bronco peeps

I was just curious...I see a lot of people state, "I'm going to get XYZ part powder coated" on this forum. I rarely see, "I'm going to take this part to my local body shop and get it painted". Was wondering what the tangible benefit was to powder coating (cost, durability, etc.) or if people just like to talk about powder coating on message boards.
