This may have been discussed already but I reserved the base model thinking I could customize it to my liking, however when the build and price finally went live I soon found that to not be the case. After many different “creations” I was finally content with the badlands non squach with lux package. My dealer told me when I attempted to build and price that I could only go up to the outer banks. The system would not let him go up another model. Has anyone else experienced this or is my dealer making a mistake?

Did you need to do anything through Ford or did you just select the different model when you ordered with your dealer?

From everything we understand to be true, you can submit an order for anything you want... the only exception is First Edition (which requires an FE reservation, but those people can still order any trim).

Probably what’s more likely is the order system is being wonky, and your dealer (having little experience with the Bronco) is coming to the wrong conclusion.

I just tried to select a different model and he said the system wouldn’t let him do it

I reserved a base and ordered a BL. Got the confirmation and everything. Didn’t seem a problem.

Another data point:
I reserved a base by accident, not realizing you picked a trim level during reservation.

Converted all the way up to BL Sas 2.7.

...So something is off.

I reserved a base and ordered a badlands on January 20th here in Canada, my dealer had no problem, I didn’t receive a confirmation email yet tho.

I reserved a Black Diamond and ordered a Badlands. No issue whatsoever.

4DR Big Bend reservation to a 2DR Bad Lands order. Your reservation does not lock you into ordering what you want.

I had ordered a Wildtrak, but upon further review was not excited at all about the interior. I had received an order number and everything on the Wildtrak. I called the dealership the next day to see if I could change it to a Badlands. They checked into it, said it was possible, and modified my order. Now, I never got a "final" confirmation from Ford on my original (just the "In-Store" order details when I logged into the Ford site), but the order number stayed the same and the site now shows it as Badlands. Just bringing it up to say that it seems to be possible to change after the order number gets generated. I am just not sure how possible it is once you get the "final" confirmation from Ford...
