If you get an offer in writing from a dealer and then they refuse to honor it, what are you going to do about it? It’s important to check outside reviews to see how honest and upfront a dealership is.
totally agree...the only thing I’m refusing to honor is the original email I sent saying $2500 deposit...$100 from Ford is all I’m asking

yes 3% under for a July reservation...doesn’t matter to me 21/22/23..ford will build based on time stamp and constraint
Great deal, thank you for offering it to us. Very much appreciated and hopeful you pull alot of deals away from the MSRP premadona dealerships.

This is why some of us got 2 reservations and are waiting a bit. we knew there might be deals made out there. I have not moved on my 7/14 yet and pretty sure I cant beat this deal on that one at the moment. Gonna make some moves this week on my 7/14 later this week if I decide to use it vs my late one which is the best but its super late reservation.

I think you meant to quote me, you said you aren’t requiring a $2500 non-refundable deposit, but PowPow has a reservation with you and got an email saying one is required.

You would be much better off addressing said email than trying to dance around it like the viper dancing around the mountain, just my two cents.
I didn’t see his post about the email or I would have addressed it...

Correct, I’m not requiring a $2500 deposit...

Originally, when we received the info from Ford about the 80% rule, as a group, we decided to do the $2500...an email went out to all of our reservations with that info and he would have received that...

Either the same day or the next day I had 2 customer who had an issue with it...1 was from the forum...when I started reading the forum, I joined, and decided to change the deposit requirement and the pricing strategy (I sent another email out but the forum member wouldn’t have been on there bc he transferred already)...

the other stores in my group disagree with what I’m doing...

hope that explains it better, if not, ask away...I should have worded the response email to the forum member differently...things gets lost in email...I understand that and would have no problem apologizing to him
Yes, I did get a $2500 non refundable email. It was literally the same exact. So that part is true.

I'm fairly certain (but not positive) the member @DealerInsider is talking about is me. I did transfer out last Wed and never received a follow up email with any new details. (just like he stated, since I had already transferred)

I was/have been pretty vocal about my thoughts and opinions since seeing him join the forum. Car buying is stressful enough, and being a part of this community, I thought I should let members know my experience. People are then free to make their own decisions.

However, I've also seen the posts and how his tune has changed since joining, and the deal he is offering. I've since backed off, as I personally don't carry grudges. (Life is too short, and in the bigger scheme of things, it's just a car. I consider myself lucky with all that's going on that I can even entertain purchasing a vehicle.)

I maybe wish it didn't have to happen, and we could've went without that drama, but if our interaction is what helped in the end, then it is what it is.

@DealerInsider How are you going to handle out of state Trade-ins? I currently have 2 reservations, one with Stephens and another with Granger for their 2k below invoice offer in Oct. I unfortunately had to get a new vehicle to hold me over since Ford keeps changing up the game and couldn't wait 6-12 months with my old car. I am ok with waiting until MY22 or MY23 for a Bronco(have a 7/15 res) so cancelling my Stephens res is going to happen, but I may consider switching my Granger res to you since it sounds like your deal is closer to what they are offering. Plus I have family in MD so it may make logistics easier. Can you message me the offer or email me at [email protected]

Same boat. I had a 1:06 am 7/14 reservation and was just leary to shop around after my dealer said MSRP. I am #12 of 49 allocations with them and didn't want to chance losing that good spot. I'll open a lemonade stand to cover what I would have saved, dammit.

Hi Marc...i also handle our C8 orders at my Chevy store, so I am well versed in the out of state trades...how ive always handled was to give the customer a # based on todays market and whether we need to pick it up or the customer will be shipping it...at that point I can purchase the trade before the vehicle gets here, or the customer can wait for the market # when their vehicle arrives...I had a customer in Louisiana that shipped both his trades...one i purchased when he ordered, the other he drove until he picked up...we use Manheim MMR and compare that to KBB and Black Book to come up with a #...if the customer wants a # in writing on an order and we have no ETA, I can commit to manheim mmr average the day they trade in...its a 3rd party and lets us know what the vehicle sold for at auction before sale fees and transport to the auction...

ill shoot you an email with the offer...

Same hear Ian an early 7/14 res would have been a 7/13 if the ford site didn’t crash reveil night

Sad thing is @DealerInsider, I personally reached out to your dealership back in beginning of October. Got bumped around a bit and eventually talked to a salesperson on the phone (don't recall who it was). At that time you were sticking with MSRP and the conversation went no further.

Your GM (Steven) shot me an email a day or so later. I responded to that email letting him know our group was 105 strong (to be honest, even at that time we were over 200 if I'm not mistaken). Sadly, he never responded to my email.

So if this 3% below invoice had been mentioned back in October, I could've easily brought 150+ orders to your dealership. But it wasn't, we moved on. I guess you win some and lose some.
