It’s coming down to the wire before orders are placed. One final question: If I select the Badlands with the stock 33’s, can I also select 4.7 Locking Rear over the 4.46. My thought is that I’d ride those tires out and add 35s later.

The B&P allows you to add it, but I thought I read somewhere on here, that it was incorrect.

Right now I have two builds I’m deciding between:
BD: 4dr,2.7, SAS, Mid, MIC - $51,765
BL: 4dr, 2.7,Mid, MIC - $52,870

I like the LED lights (I can add later)
Sway bar disco is something that is nice to have but not something I’d use a lot.

Im leaning towards the BD, but my mind keeps pulling me back to BL

please help with my initial question!

SAS is the only way, to my knowledge to actually get the 4.7 on an automatic, the wider wheels (plus beadlock capable if you ever want to go that way or sell them), makes it a no brainer if you are entertaining the thought of 35's later on. BD is the way to go.

edit; spelling

That is my hold up between the two models. If there is an option to go 4.7 on the automatic on the BL w/out SAS, I’ll go that direction. If not I’m going BD w/ SAS. The website says it’s available, and allows you to select it.

Yes the 4.7 is available on the BL without Sas and would help later if you add larger tires.

I have a feeling we will not know until March.

It is an option now, but will it be an option later? If it is an option later, will it still be a zero cost option?

Build and price has not been a total mess, but close thus far.

yeah, the consensus is that is a glitch, it is not on the order guide gearing list, which is supposed to be more definitive. I also recall someone who actually ordered saying it was not an option at all, not even for an additional cost, but, hey... it's Ford, if they say two contradictory things, then it is probably a third completely different thing.

Exactly! You’d think that they would have enough time to fix this by now

For 1k more you’re getting the front locker and disconnect. You can add tires on the BL later. I had this exact dilemma as I originally planned on the BD. You likely won’t be able to add the electronic disconnect after the fact.

That’s exactly what I’m thinking too. I’m not sure how expensive it is to change gearing if in fact the 4.7 is not available on non Sasquatch models. But I know that a Sway Disco won’t be cheap

When I got my 2014 Silverado I upgraded to 4.10 for free from the factory. If you wanted to upgrade after the fact be prepared to fork over ~1300$

Personally I would go with the BD as it will be coming factory sasquatch. I am not going with BD because you can not spec out higher than the mid package but if that's what you want the BD is a no brainer.
Reason #2 for the BL. Doesn’t look the same without the signature lights and the 12 inch screen
