OK, so assuming they are seeing who of the first 2 days orders are buying....say 160k vehicles. Does anyone have speculation what happens next? Does Ford then assess how many more they can make and take more orders from the rest of the reservation holders? Or does that mean everyone else has to wait to MY22 which is probably over capacity by now also? Or do they stock dealers with additional inventory?

I read this thread this morning and decided to give the dealership (one of seven Ford dealerships in the group) I have my reservation (7/16) with. He said that they have 300 reservations and that the Dealer consultation, Build/price & deposit, will take place later in the the Spring May(ish). Also, He explained that the allotment to the dealership was what was going to be added to the new car inventory for walk up/in buyers, after all the reservations had been satisfied.

Low and behold, 40 minutes ago like I suppose most of you I received and update email from Ford: Bronco order window opening soon

So what to think? Did I get a bunch of dealer speak or what. He never mentioned anything about extra deposit

I know my dealer has about 300 reservations which means their allocation should be around 75 give or take.
And with a 7/13,14 reservation date AND with a FE who doesn't mind the Late Available status wonder if they'll try and kick me to the curb for someone who would get it earlier....
I know it's not supposed to happen BUT......

Oh I understand the process, was just wondering if the email was what people were referring to as timestamp....
My confirmation email didn’t show up until July 15 at 4am mountain from Ford corporate. My dealer beat them to it, contacting me on 7/14 at at noon mountain time.

But, the time stamp on my order (you can figure this out by using the network tab in developer tools in Chrome, logging into your Ford account, going to reservations, then loading your bronco reservation page. Filter the network requests by your order number and you’ll find a big JSON payload with the create date) is 7/13 8:30 ET (listed as 7/14 00:30 UTC/GMT).

Get your dealer to prioritize your order, they are making me a preferred customer so I can get ahead of the reservations that’s ahead of me.
It's good to be buddies with your dealer, no doubt....I think it should have been straight on timestamp order, but that's not what Ford is doing.

I thought that it depends on your reservation number, which it do but to me it seems the reservation number is only good with how many allocations are at your dealer, not as a whole nationwide, I’m not buddies with my dealer, I just met them a few weeks ago, i called my salesman this morning and that’s what he told me, they have 20 reservations and that mine will be the first to come here this summer, July 17th reservation here in Canada.

Would think the pricing at time of order would be honored. Ordered my 2018 2 door JL early and since FCA kept bumping the time line on building the first 2 doors it took about 7 months from time of order to delivery. During that time there were a number of price increases (both base and option pricing), I still paid the price at time of placing the order.
I wholeheartedly agree with you. However when I see this it scares me...

Yep. You got no answers and a lot of wasted oxygen.

My dealer called me today and I’m scheduled to go in and place my order on Wednesday 1/20. She told me they can take 41 orders out of the 150 reservations they have and told me it was for the first 41 that came in. Anybody else heard that? Don’t make much sense that it’s first come first served but I have a day 1 FE so I’m going in early to be sure.

My dealer said something similar. I'm #10 in line with my dealer. They told me it was very important to come in and place my order or that spot may be given to someone else. I know all the stuff Ford has said about it doesn't matter when you place your order. But I'm beginning to wonder if that's actually true.

It's true if they follow Ford's strong recommendation to go in timestamp order. It's not true if your dealer decides to sequence their orders differently....sounds like yours is prioritizing those that actually get ordered first.
