Everyones thinking top line with a higher price, and thats one reason for Ford to make it, but there is another train of thought.

What about a way to push more buyers to items that are going to not sell as well to help production commodities shortages on the other options.

For example make it a nice looking paint scheme and unique wheels, 33" tires, that is on an Outer Banks, limited to 2.3L auto to help with Sasquatch and 2.7L (assuming those are commodities)

AWD to me suggest Subaru like. PU.
I wouldn't image Ford would create a special transfer case just for the Heritage Edition.
If it is the same as the the rest of the Bronco's then cool.
As far as I can find, Ford doesn't currently have a RWD AWD transfer case in their lineup worldwide.

My guess is that these "editions" will be similar to the "sports" or "Tremor" package for Ranger. You get some contrast trim/vinyl, a lower volume dash plastic piece and only within very specific trim levels. For a price the DIY's heart would bleed, but the "I keep all my cars showroom original" will love.
I agree, for $1500, it can't be too much. Maybe some graphics, a tire cover, and some interior trim pieces. Nothing that is going to slow down production, that is for sure.

We're happy to share exclusive info that limited edition Heritage Broncos are on their way! The Heritage trim will be available for both 2-Door and 4-Door Broncos.

The body codes / descriptions are as follows:

E5G - 2 Door Adv. AWD Heritage Lmt.

The codes are listed for both MY2021 and MY2022.

No physical description has been revealed yet.
What is the source?

Brother, I just got home to the USA after two months in Canada. The longing for Tim Hortons exceeds the actual experience of having Tim Hortons. The donuts are dumbing down. Not quite as bad as Dunkin Donuts, but still ... You miss the idea of Timmy’s more than you miss the product itself.
The coffee at Tim's is ok but McDonald's in Canada has better coffee. Tim's donuts have sucked since they stopped baking them fresh in store many years ago. Dunkin Donuts coffee tastes like dishwater.

I've been on the OBX 2.3L train. If they get rid of the steps and 18" wheels, it would pique my interest. Include the white mod top, different wheels on 33's, and graphics, and I'm ready to sign.

I'd be so happy if it was in the middle of the BD and OBX. You know like a BD with the High Package and B&O audio, and Rear Locker w/A4WD.

I wanna be excited but also assume this will be an actual "Limited Edition", as in pricey. I'm assume all the fun old school touches will be locked to this high level trim only. Now if was an appearance package that could be added to a basic bronco, then I'd get excited!
