Yeah, my Badlands build increased $3600 or so when adding black modular top and automatic trans... The Wildtrak is now actually cheaper similarly equipped. Too bad I prefer the Badlands interior though the floating roof rack might be worth the price increase!

The floating roof rack was required to get around the GVWR restriction on the 4-doors with 2.7. :ROFLMAO:

Geez Louise, I didn't realize the popularity of this site. 58 pages on one subject in less than 24 hours? I hate to be "that guy", but could someone please sum up the gist of the thread for me. Is it just a price increase and a lot of bitching about it, or is there something more to it? Thanks.

Well my backup plan is coming into sharper focus, for those that don't care about the removable roof, the all new 2023 4Runner is looking nice, here is a summary of some of my past posts.

Toyota is basing the 6th gen 2023 4Runner on an entirely new platform and will be available in the fall of 2022. The new platform, not a refresh, called the TNGA-F, will be shared by the Tundra, Tacoma, Sequoia and 4Runner. While it will not be a direct competitor to the Bronco it will be competition some will consider a viable option.
Toyota is currently preparing to reveal a slew of all-new body-on-frame vehicles based on an upcoming TNGA-F architecture. The Toyota Tundra is slated to be the first of these new models in 2021 followed by a new Toyota 4Runner and Sequoia in 2022, then a new Tacoma in 2024.

And as @Paint tells us, we should hear more about this winter:
FYI, 6th Gen 4Runner is due for 2022, and Toyota usually drops all their information around February/March. So in theory, you'll have plenty of time to make up your mind on 5th Gen 4Runner, 6th Gen 4Runner, or 6th Gen Bronco.

Also noticed rock rails are now a $595 up charge on the badlands. They were supposed to be standard and were not a charge before. Not that I need them but WTF. What a cluster. Was really looking forward to the Bronco but this has been such a mess I might bail.

Yes, he answered immediately (was obviously very aware), and called it an "incredible deal."

This would have been no big deal if Ford didn't let it sit for months and say it was correct. Ford marketing execution is bush league at best...a disaster.
190K reservations, Pandemic supply chain 'handicap' or disaster --- they were caught, completely, with their pants down. They've been mining B&P data for two months - especially 'saved' B&P and are now making a call. It ain't pretty, but they have a product in high demand.

Ford fixed the “glitch”

All A10 transmissions are now adding 1595 to the price. So the mysterious mid package that also included the A10 went up 1595. SAS went up 1595 because it includes the A10. Also included the 795 for advanced transfer case.

On a positive note for some, they’ve added the modular roof to B&P.

They’ve always shown up as 595.00 accessory. Still think that’s a bug.

Let’s all not flip out just yet. We don’t really know what is going on with concrete pricing yet. We have some time to figure this out. Not that it matters to anyone, I am not going anywhere regardless.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, thats exactly what everyone said when B&P was first released.

Do you honestly think Ford has the intellectual capability to do that, after the mess this rollout has been?

Strike 2, and counting, against Ford.
