I took it as he was saying that Sasquatch and the 2.7 are POPULAR items and not that they are LIMITED items.
He specifically says there are commodities constraints and that they only can build so many Sasquatch packages per year and many folks will have their order in 2022. I wouldn't take that as they can meet the Sasquatch demand. I would actually interpret it as the opposite.

So if I get a late production date (despite a day 1 res), how effed am I if I decide to back out? How much of a deposit do I have to light on fire? It’d be nice to know when I can actually expect the vehicle before getting roped into a deposit.

Personally, I finished a lease this fall and we’ve been skating by with me working from home in the mean time. No guarantee that that’s easily doable forever.

There’s a reason they haven’t responded to this thread...

Ford can’t just having 25% of the Broncos going to 4 dealerships that offer a good deal. There has to be some spread out, for logistics and financial reasons. Also the big dealers are also the most profitable for ford themselves, so they basically expect to be “rewarded” with more Broncos. Also Ford wants more Broncos in places where 4runners and jeeps are more popular, so Arizona/Cali/Colorado are going to get more than New England will. The system sucks but with as limited as Broncos are going to be they need to make sure people are getting them who they are prioritizing. Also I bet they are worried about scalpers getting a good deal and reselling.

My main concern is that by ordering a Basetrak I automatically get put at the back of the line even though I’m day 1 reservation.
The northeast is literally infested with Jeeps but I agree with you. It sucks that the situation is what it is. But nobody is going to be pissed about Ford screwing them on delivery for a few months when they’re driving their new unit.

I can’t build a Bronco myself so I’ll have to play by Ford’s rules.

Didn't Estoban answer the same questions twice in the same way?
...And by that I mean, didn't Estoban answer the same question twice in the same way?

1. Timestamp.
2. Options Selected... stay away from Sasquatch and the 2.7.
3. Dealer allocation based on a latent variable partial least square algorithm.

I understand what you are understanding. However I'm not talking that as limited per se. I think it might be limited by COVID or "oh crap! That was way more popular than we thought". Unlike, Raptor, Boss, GT500 limited. Hopefully I conveyed that correctly.

Bronco Faithful,

From this video and speaking with the dealer folks in AZ (Sanderson Ford) and my dealer representative at Walnut Creek Ford, according to them, they each have around 500 reservations.
So my take is, the larger the dealer the larger allotments of Bronco's will be delivered.

Secondly, (and this is important) the reservation number... lower the number reservation (of the Bronco's reserved at your dealership) the greater the chance of getting your car sooner. In other words, if your Dealer has a ton of late reservations and only a few early reservations the better the chance of filling an early reservation because a larger dealer will more than likely have a larger alotment of Broncos shipped to them. I hope this makes sense.

Third, is the availability of parts for your build. In other words, if they have, (because of popularity), lets say for example they have a huge run of 2.7's and 10 spd automatics ordered, they will only be able to fill those orders with parts in the supply chain? If they don't have them for whaterver reson your order will be held up.

Second example, if you ordered a glossy painted modular top, you have already been told you will go to the end of the line because they are having a vendor production issue. So it is a crap shoot on parts and popularity of ordered options at this point. there is no way to get this information until they receive the orders.

Best scenario:
(large dealer + low number of early reservations (at that dealer )+ package popularity and parts availablility = the sooner you will receive your Bronco)

My take for what its worth so far.

Questions for Ford.
1) If you order a simple bare bones Bronco, where do you stand compared to the guy who has ordered a fully loaded model.

2)If you ordered one of the 3500 First Editions (which had to be low reservation numbers) will these Broncos more or less be built first? Or, because they are fully loaded will they potentially be hung up in the line because of parts availability?
Inquiring minds?

Ultimately, we are very fortunate to be coming off a divisive election, and rounding the corner on Covid with a new vaccine, and the economy making a comeback (DOW 30,000 record high).

Think about it.... we have something to look forward to. I know I sound like a grandmother, but we are really lucky to be getting a NEW BRONCO... I mean how cool is that!!!!!!!

In the big scheme of things, as to when you get your Bronco is really unimportant. My friend's father waited 2 1/2 years for a Ferarri. I know this is trivial by comparison. But think about it, they are taking a new model from design to your garage during a pandemic, a divisive election and a drop kicked economy. Really, our hats should be off to Ford here!!!! For any number of reasons this whole thing could have blown up. I for one am counting my blessings!!!!!

Hope this helps.
