Ford's Hairy Armpit (4d base)

In the engineering world, we often leave a "hairy armpit" in our proposals to give clients the opportunity to criticize and give their inputs to the design / plans without drastically altering scope. Think a misplaced control switch, difficult to reach button or ugly exterior choice. It seems Ford has left such a hairy armpit in their lineup to push us up a few trim levels: the 4 door base model without sasquatch.

Has anyone seen a picture of this creature of doom? I'd like to see it, the CGI on the B&P looks pretty bad. Add mandatory auto, and you have a real crowd displeaser. Those 32s look itty bitty, but maybe some images have come out which would change my mind.

Anyone seen any?

Thus, my belief that this is the Ford hairy armpit. Seen pics of most every other model (barring FE) in 2 and 4d. But the 4d base maybe hasn't even been built yet. They don't like it, we won't like it.

I keep up with this forum as much as one can reasonably be expected to, have yet to see a photo of the 4d base. I have seen 2d, and it looks better than the CGI would suggest.

These are the only ones I have. Never seen a 4 door. Looks good to me.

In fact hat grille makes me excited. Nicer with the white letters but this works.

Actually a pretty truck considering. The 2d proportions are okay, but I fear 4d will not be as acceptable.

This would make a good theory as to how the Navy Pier, Roast and the camo Wildtrak interiors came into being.

The designers were trying to get something different approved later.
So they made these ugly interiors to show progress.
The FMC management then stunned everyone by approving everything proposed.

Now that seems entirely likely... from a design/engineering perspective.
