man, if this thread hasn't turned into the equivalent of 'back in my day'... ? ? ?

if you want a 2 door, do it.
if you want a 4 door, do it.

A Bronco is a Bronco is a Bronco.

A Bronco from 60's or 70's or 80's or whenever you last bought your 2 door Bronco probably also left a huge hole in the Ozone or increased your carbon footprint twofold and got like 2 mpg. So according to your logic, this Bronco made 30yrs later being better on the environment, must not be a real Bronco. Or because it has seatbelts, or a rear camera or countless other safety enhancements it's not a Bronco? Because 'real' Bronco's didn't have that in the 70's. ?

That Bronco from the 70's also didn't have push button 4x4 or an automatic transfer case. Guess it's not a real Bronco. ?‍♂
Agreed this thread is such a joke...most of the post make me lol

Your comparisons to fit your narrative are a joke. You are comparing an SUV to a sports car lol makes no sense.
Being an SUV has nothing to do with his point, which is the Bronco is a classic and is seen as a 2-door off-roader since 1966, sticking 2 more doors on it makes it a yuppie mall crawler for the family wanting to look cool. But hey, to each there own, most of these being sold won't see more than a dirt road.

I'm getting a 2 door because I hate sitting behind the b-pillar.

2 doors look better on all vehicles. The 2 door Bronco will have a shorter wheel base and provide a better break over angle, a better turning radius, (aka easier to manuver on the trail), and a sporier ride.

Because the two door closely resembles the original Bronco and I plan to accessorize mine “old school”.

Planning to purchase these rims below for my BD

I used to drive a supercrew F250 and park at UF (which has notoriously tiny spots). If you think a Bronco is a "bus" please never drive a truck.
Oh aren’t you impressive. Apparently you are one of those types that jump to conclusions and assumptions. You don’t know me or my abilities. I’ll stand behind my original comment. Clown

The number of 2-door fans that can't recognize this as a copy-pasta of the other thread is hilarious. Also, the wildly defensive nature of the 2-door folks is worrying. I'll wave to ya but I guess only 4-door-dads will wave back. lol
Oh man - you got me! Well, that's what I get for being so bored and read through this thread. Usually, I have a life. My fault! Promise that it won't happen again.

I bought a crew cab truck because I have a family. Turns out the vast majority of my driving is me alone. The times where having 4 doors is convenient just doesn't counteract the constant annoyance of a 157" wheelbase, especially when 90% of the time it's just empty space.

After taking a look at my particular situation I've decided on the two door because simply because I don't need more to move myself around and we already own a vehicle much more adept to passenger travel than either of the Broncos offer. The bulk of the off-roading I plan to do favors a short wheelbase and surrounds my own furnished cabin thus greatly reducing the need for cargo space. Toss on top the fact the 2 door is slightly cheaper, it makes sense for me.

I think Ford needs to mail out Snickers to all reservation holders until order banks open because some of y'all are getting Brangry! Every Bronco built yields spare parts at the junkyard at some point so I'm thankful for all models (y)

I have a wife and 2 kids.

Getting a 2dr.

When I was a kid everything it seems was a 2dr and families made it work.

Everything having to have 4drs seems like a transition that happened set in the 90s and stuck and no one can figure out how to do anything without everything being super easy for them.

Nope my kids are going to cram into the back and like it. We'll throw our stuff on the roof and bikes/skis/whatever on the hitch carrier and we'll go have fun.
Its not a matter of not figuring out how to do everything or being super easy. It gets old in a hurry having to go though all that to get in and out. First the passengers in the front seat have to exit, then you have to push the seat forward and fold, and its still awkward for rear passengers to climb out. Its not uncommon for 2-door owners to apologize to passengers stuck riding in the back
So, lots of talk here about pricing and options and all that stuff.

Fundamental question here - why go 2-door unless you have to? I’m a family man and we can have lots of cars because we live in a sprawling city on a large lot that I own.

if I had no kids, if I could get my own toy instead of having to share with my wife, there’s no way I’d get a 2-door. I’d be 4-door, all the way. I just think it looks tons cooler, it’s apparently more stable on the trail, and it just screams “this is my dude vehicle, with just enough room for a camping trip with my girl and my dog. We can go wherever we want and take gear for any outdoor activity.”

Then I’d crank up some classic metal and tear ass out of there at 80 mph, with tube doors, no roof and the envy of all who can see.
I'm with you, the advantag

getting a 4 door and calling it a 'Bronco' is as nonsensical as buying a 4 door sedan and calling it a 'Charger'. Everyone knows it isn't real unless two doors, just a badge job, but people buy them and pretend. Pretend real hard.
It is nonsensical to define a car only by the number of doors. 4-door jeeps aren't real jeeps? That's crazy, especially when the vehicle is the same in every other way. If you think your new Bronco is "real" because it is more like the original

Are you going to Pretend your new Bronco is "real" because it has 2-doors like the old ones? I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your new "real" Bronco has a lot more in common with the pretend 4-door Broncos than any old one...

Even pre-kids, hated the 2 doors I’ve owned. Daily PITA. More power to those who don’t as I do think it looks better and saves money. The poser takes are lame.
