Does the Wrangler have a soft touch dash? I suspect that that both machines are similar to that respect.
Not in any of the jeeps I ever was in. My JKU had a hard dash! Pretty sure the JLs and Gladys have hard dash also! I remember alot of them being red on the inside. Bc back when I was going to order a JL in Bikini Pearl I made sure that dash wasn't red! It was silver!

Btw my JKU had the most beautiful interior! Black with black and tan! For whatever I love black and tans!

Well...umm sounds like they thought it all out for the BLs but the dash! It doesn't sound like it going to be fun at all! I can just see the red rock dust from out west turning that dash orange and staining it a way!
Don't let Ford know that, they'll upcharge you for the matching orange dash!

No kidding...especially if light grey. Also, to reiterate what @FstFrd00 said, clean up is possible on soft touch. But I have found it gets dirty immediately and if I take a microfiber cloth to wipe, it kind of sticks to the surface. Just annoying, and personally I much prefer smooth hard plastic for the same reasons FstFrd mentioned.

Sounds like on road trips and gravel roads. Just going to have to cover it with trash bags and duct tape! ??? Adapt and overcome I suppose!

True! Didn't think about that. I won't have on board air per say....but I got an air deal plugs into the cigarette lighter. I guess need to see what nosels I have for it! I use it mainly for my Mountain Bike.

What is more likely, that high level refers to the dashboard material or that the OP was high when they posted this?

Will it fit under the hood?

Yep, i now have to move BL back on the radar if this is true. Just when i had been set on BD.

@LEGEND Is this anything you would be able to confirm or deny with information you have? That all trims below OBX have a hard plastic dashboard, while the others have a soft touch dashboard?
This sucks balls I’m getting black diamond .hard plastic not bad but you best take care of it with armour all cause if not taken care of the plastic will crack . Soft touch has its own issues too both need to be conditioned so it doesn’t crack. Plastic seems to rattle sometimes too hopefully it will be fine.

@sanford I am not sure ( please note I edited my post arb on WJ not xj). are you asking for bronco? I do know that his install on the WJ was in the back where the cd changer was on the grand cherokee. It was a PERFECT fit.

Well, I have yet to see one in person so exact location of an install is still up in "the air". But I have no doubt there will be room somewhere. I have an engineer and CAD design master of a brother, we will find a spot!
