It's the worst kind.
This one really sneaked up on me. Erma was no bid deal. I had plenty of time to put up shutters and take down canopy over my boat. Hoping the winds die down some when they start coming from the west. At least I don't have to worry about storm serge and high tide like you do.
Any other Florida peeps out there? This is our backyard earlier and a few minutes ago. The neighbor's dock is starting to come apart.

Losing a dock is a major pain. It takes a long time to get the permits to replace it. And where we are located they don't like to work a boat to install it. If you do it from land it has to be shorter.
All I got was some light rain and wind. Also on the gulf side. ( Charlotte County ) Looking at a map, you're about 30 minutes NW of me.
