This is exactly how it’s been described by at least one dealer on this site. Everyone is ordering and then any that get pushed will have to submit a new order for 2022. Makes sense - if order conversion is lower than Ford is predicting, all orders may end up being a 2021.
Again, this isn't from info Ford has given me, just my guess, but toward the end of the year, I see some slipping back to 2022 and some that were to be 2022's getting pulled ahead of them due to option availability. Having a bigger pool to pull from helps Ford get more built.

There's likely going to be some that get built way ahead of their place in line due to be equipped in a way that Ford can build them when other earlier orders can't. Bronco Sports already falling this way, Base and Big Bend orders are getting scheduled for earlier build dates than already scheduled Badlands/Outer Banks orders due to supply.

I can only hope they will add the 'late delivery' items like more interior options to the B&P or dealer ordering system before those dates!!!! I still cannot get over the only multicolor mess options to the WT interior:

I rezzed an FE, but lack of A-Plan has me dropping down to a BL or BD.
So did I miss something? I thought only X-Plan was dropped? And A,Z,D was still on, I have D-Plan and was counting on that 2K discount.

I have a July 16 res date, but am willing to wait a bit. First, my current car lease ends 10/13/21, so I'll be happy to drop it off and hitchhike to the Ford dealer and pick up the Bronco. Second, I'm happy to wait a few weeks to get what I want - manual trans with Sasquatch, that Ford has said would be a late delivery build.
Third - I'm content to let you early guys show me what not to do with mine throughout this whole process... :)

Right now, my only anxiety rests in the manual/squatch combo ordering date.

I hope they have the decency to contact the dealers to say "hey your customer ordered the floor mats but those are delayed for a month. Please inquire with your customer whether they want to forego the mats, for an on-time delivery"

Id hate for a small insignificant accessory to be the reason for a major delay to individual orders. If that's a possibility, my wildtrak will be barebones and ill order everything else through the dealer separately.

(My concern is more with the tow package. Something not NEEDED day 1, but I definitely anticipate using asap after I get my bronco)
Someone here mentioned something about ordering the accessories separately if we were worried about delayed delivery.

Albert, @Granger Ford do you know if this is a possibility? Can we place the orders for DIOs and accessories separately? Will we be able to get any information about which items will cause delays?

You can order accessories separately, but not under the DIO system, they would just be Ford accessories (install not part of price).

DIO accessories aren't on the production line, and I doubt they'll be an issue with commodities or scheduling as Ford won't be looking at them since they won't be a plant issue. Some could end up being later than the unit, so far we've been getting them a few days after the car under the new system. That said if they were late due to shortage or whatever, you'd just have to take the Bronco back for install when they did come in.

How did you figure out delivery date?
That's the $250K question. What I can assume is FE 2 Dr's and then the FE Dr's will go out first. Then anybody that was lucky to get their orders placed on July 13 will see those orders be filled June - September. After that, then the rest will be filled in September October. This is for the orders placed before September 18, 2020. This is my best guess.

Once it's scheduled for production, you'll get a date.

What is your point? I’m very confused by what you’re trying to prove. All pre-orders we’re taken with an assumption of 2021. Ford changed this a month ago and gave no one any insight into what the process would be now outside of vague things like, “we’ll add additional options for those who have to wait.” Now this says 2022 orders won’t be processed at the same time as 2021. We did not know this, you did not know this, this is new information. Congrats on your assumption I guess, but that doesn’t change the fact this is news.
