Again, this isn't from info Ford has given me, just my guess, but toward the end of the year, I see some slipping back to 2022 and some that were to be 2022's getting pulled ahead of them due to option availability. Having a bigger pool to pull from helps Ford get more built.This is exactly how it’s been described by at least one dealer on this site. Everyone is ordering and then any that get pushed will have to submit a new order for 2022. Makes sense - if order conversion is lower than Ford is predicting, all orders may end up being a 2021.
There's likely going to be some that get built way ahead of their place in line due to be equipped in a way that Ford can build them when other earlier orders can't. Bronco Sports already falling this way, Base and Big Bend orders are getting scheduled for earlier build dates than already scheduled Badlands/Outer Banks orders due to supply.
