Wait, Ford is replacing something that is universally liked and enjoyed? The Fusion, Edge and Escape might have an opinion on that...:)
As for those three-they had a different reasons to be gone:

Not profitable
Shrinking market share due to market changes/wants
New product that didn’t pan out to market not materializing like they expected it would.
limited assembly capacity.

As for the 2.7L there was apparently issues with it being able to make emission requirements and to be honest I guess the 3.0L in a derated form would eliminate the need for it and make things simpler from a manufacturing perspective.

Plus I think the hybrid Bronco would have roughly the same power with better MPGs then the 2.7L

The last recall before the underhood wiring harness was overheating modules because they are packed in too close together and you want to add the further bulk and complexity of a hybrid?

Not to mention the added weight to, what many would argue, is an already overweight platform. But I mentioned it anyway.

With Ford's track record a hybrid would end up parked on the street with the recalled hybrid Jeeps so as not to burn your house down while you sleep.

Your just showing your ignorance of what type of hybrid system would wind up in the Bronco-it would be similar to the powerboost that is in the F-150, where the electric motor is in the 10R transmission. Any additional harnesses would be outside of the engine compartment and the recall for the wiring harnesses are due to shitty wrapping of them-mine doesn’t show any issues from what I’ve seen of photos of the recall.

I think your just showing your anger at people that don't worship at the church of EV..
The hybrid 150 has a 600-700 lb reduced tow capacity. That would basically preclude towing anything with a Bronco.
Keep It Simple Stupid guides my life.
My dream rig would be a first gen with AC and cruise control. Failing that A 60 or 80 series Toyota Land Cruiser. But can't find either with less than 100,000 miles for less/same as II paid for this rig.

So using the Australian Ranger PHEV (which would be basically the same powertrain as a hybrid Bronco) as an apple to apples comparison, there is no loss of any towing capability vs it and the standard Ranger

So might want to drop the shovel while you can.

Leaf spring Ranger and coil spring Bronco . Apples to oranges comparison.
The weight reduction is because the Maximum Loaded Trailer Weight is reduced by the amount the hybrid system adds to the tow vehicle. Part of the GCWR.
GVWR is also reduced by that added weight. Passengers need to diet.
When you kick dirt in the hole I'm digging it makes it harder to dig deeper.
