Yes I was offered a discount on a new set of lights. That is the problem. How can I trust that these new lights won't fail just like the originals? I shouldn't have pay to replace my tail lights every year or two due to product defects that you don't take accountability for. I need to know the safety features on my vehicle are reliable and long lasting, not perpetually prone to failure.

I completely understand your concern, and that's exactly why we've invested so much effort into improving the current production version.

We've already outlined many of the V2 revisions, but the biggest changes are in the electronics. The latest production lights use updated LED driver and power supply technology along with enhanced surge protection, improved CAN-bus compatibility, over-voltage and under-voltage protection, reverse polarity protection, and updated internal components. We also made refinements to the manufacturing and assembly process to improve long-term reliability and consistency.

You mentioned that you shouldn't have to pay to replace your tail lights every year or two, and we agree. We provide a 2-year warranty, so If a light fails within the timeframe you mentioned, you wouldn't be paying anything to replace it.

Our goal with the V2 updates wasn't simply to make another version. It was to enhance long-term durability by incorporating newer component technology as it became available. We can't promise that any electronic product will never fail, but we can say that the current production lights are substantially improved over earlier versions, and we stand behind them with a longer warranty because we have confidence in those improvements.

The problem is there are clear durability issues with the V1 that anyone who bought in early are stuck with. You acknowledge these pervasive quality and build issues but won't stand behind the product to make it right for us early adopters.
