I’m on a roll! I installed my Ford Performance exhaust today. I had watched every video I could find and had all my tools at the ready… about 20 minutes total to do while laying on the ground. Ford uses a slightly different back hanger bracket on the pipe itself, so no need of the replacement bracket that the manufacturer uses. It is listed as β€œSport” version. Quite at idle and cruising and gets louder at acceleration. Cold start you could hear it.

Added to this mod today with the airbag cradles from Airlift. It would have been very helpful and considerate if the original ad for the product would have had a notation stating that if you off road your vehicle you need the cradles. I could have installed these at the same time without wasting another afternoon. I really hadn't thought of any issues such as this as I was getting them for towing, which actually worked out quite well. As I was working on another project later that afternoon on the day I originally installed the bags and had the Bronco jacked up with the wheel off, I noticed that the bag was stretched to the point of acting as a limiter for the axle. That can't be good so I emailed AirLift and they replied that if I was concerned about axle droop when off-roading that I should order their cradles. I ordered promptly and just got around to installing them yesterday and yet another fact that should have been mentioned is that they would not line up correctly on the Bronco. Had to redrill holes in the brackets to get the cradles centered properly.

Air bag stretched to the point of possibly tearing.

Thanks for the info, I'm thinking of getting this and your writeup is very helpful. Where did you locate the Schrader valve or think the best spot for that is? Thanks

Installed the Ford Performance Tow Hooks on my capable bumper. Finished setting my rig up to flat tow. The fabrication of the bumper leaves a lot to be desired. The back plate looked like it was a shop project. The edges were uneven with wavy cutouts. Took some trimming with a Dremel and slight notching of the plastic trim cover.

First nice day in the northeast in months so I took some time to remove all the salt caked on.
After that I installed my Husky high clearance steel fenders.
Not a hard install but definitely more time consuming than I thought they would be

Included some before and after pics for anyone considering the change.

How do you like those Kanati Mud Hogs? They are on my short list for replacing my current tires.

Thanks!

Looks Awesome. Let us know how the ride is. Also, did you need a Wheel Spacer to clear the rear shock reservoir?

so far they ride amazing. I’ve been testing out the settings and so far 2.2 seems like the sweet spot for the road, 1 just felt to soft but that’s me. Once I get out to the trail that will be the real test.

Alas, yes, I had to do wheel spacers, I’m ashamed to admit, but they are only temporary until I can refill the capital coffers to upgrade to wheels with a 0 offset and 37” tires. Current plan is to either do 701 or 703’s from method with a machine finish.

New 37” tires went in and installed 1” spacers. Tires are the Milestar Patagonia XT’s. These things are quiet on the road and seem to ride well from what I can tell with my limited time on them. They also look much better and more aggressive in real life than any pictures tend to convey.

Also installed the red rock winch plate and bull bar. This is one of the best looking options I found and it doesn’t require you to move the adaptive cruise sensors from the lower grill.

Overall, very happy with everything

There is an extension on the tail end of the molded fender liner and I put them there.

So far I have no complaints. They were great in the winter and rain performance has been better than I expected.
They aren’t noisy but do notice that the highway hum has gotten a touch louder than when new.

The one thing that bothers me about them is more about my ego than a performance issue. They to my eye seem smaller than other 37” tires I’ve had. Silly, but it definitely bothers me a bit every time I walk up to them. I think it has more to do with the shape of the tire. They are a bit more narrow than other tires in the segment and don’t have the squared off shape as Nittos or BFG’s

Other than that, love them

included a pic of the Hankooks I had before and these Kanatis for reference.

No off roading, but a Bronco was used to begin this day. Few days late. But did a few things this past weekend. Picked up daughter from college and went to the Gator nationals drag race. Top down going to the race on a cool morning. Always fun. Broke 20k miles on my 22. Had a picnic lunch out of the back. Witnesses incredible speeds and made more great memories. A remake of a pic we did 3 years ago. Clip is start to finish over 300mph coasting after finish line.
