What I hate about my Bronco, you? (edit) Or maybe I should have called it "What would you want if you were designing it"

So for one, the automatic start stop. I know there is a button to shut it off. But the button should be to turn it on.

The other thing I hate is "this is disabled while driving". There should be a feature to disable that feature. I would like to switch albums in my USB while on the highway for example. There is not really any more functions to do that is any more distracting than switching through some of the phone functions screens while driving.

(Other than that this is my most favorite vehicle I've owned)

(If the H word makes you sad imagine I used downcast instead)

Nota Bene: one can scroll passed topics

I would love to have seen the rear window drop down into the tail gate under power. That would be sweet. Also a roof rack for the 2door that only goes on the back section. Heck I think even the MoreDoor would like a rear section only roof rack from FoMoCo.

PS. (bomb toss) the Bronco Sport should be called the Bronco II if using the B word, and the MoreDoor a Clydesdale.

I'm just getting used to my 7sp. [edit - adding that I originally posted this after 4 days of ownership. I think there's something wrong with the shifter so I'm taking it in to get looked at. So - it might not be something I hate about my Bronco if they fix it. Will report back]
I've been driving manuals for most of my life and I'm used to going from 1st to 2nd with a downward and leftward motion and some light pressure. I have plenty of miles on my clutches and trannies with no issues - I know how to drive a stick! But this one gets hung up on the way down to 2nd with the slightest leftward pressure, likely due to the gate to get to Reverse/Crawler. I also have a bit of trouble going from 3rd to 2nd. Ugh! I thought there was something wrong at first, but now getting used to it by just going down, or even having a tiny pressure to the right on the way down. I kind of hate it - not sure if that's too strong of a word, but it's the thing I dislike the most at this point.
Next on the list would be the lack of memory seats. I'll mostly be the only driver so not a huge deal, but it will be a bit annoying when my wife sets it her way and I'm not able to 'fix it' with the touch of a button! :)

Edit July 28th - I'm getting a lot of comments on this post - about the shifting. I decided to make a video of the issue, compared to a GR86 shifter. I know a Bronco *should* be a bit clunkier, but it shouldn't be getting held up in that gate. I think there's something wrong and I'll get it checked out at the dealer soon and report back. Here's the video:

I'm sure others have experienced this. But I hate the attention it attracts. Living in a beach community and one that prides themself on their physical fitness, I expected more girls to be attracted to my Bronco. Instead, mostly old dudes want to admire the Bronco. 😒

The power seats should be cooled not just heated. My 2017 Mustang GT had this.

The B&O sound system was anemic until I replaced all the speakers and added an amp. Cooled front seats would've been nice. Autodrop windows need to come back. MIC top is nowhere near the quality it should be and painted hardtops should be an option to replace if and when warranty issue occurs on the MIC. Interior lighting (ambient or otherwise is non-existent).

Only thing I hate is having a car payment again. ;-)

Vehicle is batting 1000 so far.

Yes — Stop/start is annoying, but 1) I’ve gotten used to it, and 2) blame gov’t gas mileage requirements and Ford needing to do stop/start as a cheat. Is what it is.

Yup. One teenage girl got excited about my HE and her dad took picture of it. Every other admirer I’ve had has been old dudes. A lot of them.

Maybe my wife knew what she was doing at the dealer when she said she preferred the REB moardoor.

Other than that, I’m mostly happy with it except for the Goodyear rock chuckers and the fact that I’ve had to fiddle with two windows to get them to close in the first 4 months.

The synchro on 2nd is a bit rough - going into 2nd from C or 1 for me takes more pressure than any other gear, and I can feel it going through the synchro. Downshifting - not sure, I don't downshift to 2 that often to have taken note, but maybe.

But shifting from 2 to 3 - that makes me smile every single time.

Took me a while to get used to the clutch - I've heard the steeda spring makes it more consistent. Not sure if it's because of the turbo charged engine that will rev up insanely fast, or if it's that spring not letting the clutch out consistently, or just me with fat feet. Getting up from a stop always take a bit of play with the clutch since there's no momentum to help ride through the shift, and that sweet spot on the clutch doesn't always feel the same.

Things I hate (which is a strong word, I dislike)...

Sync/Carplay. Not sure which it is, but it's so buggy that it drives me nuts. Sync seems to work ok if you don't use Carplay at all, but in the stripped down model, Sync is pretty much just a Bluetooth adapter at that point and you need Carplay to use the screen for anything other than a glorified radio dial.

Window flop. Yeah, it's been "fixed", but Ford wants you to pay for it if you aren't in warranty, and I'm a bit sour on that.

Creaks/squeaks. Kinda comes with the territory, I know, but I track these things down pretty relentlessly. And every time I get one fixed, two more pop up to take it's place. Most of them seem to come from the ...

Cheap plastic interior, and the playskool instrument cluster. I hate that the plastic scratches if you look at it funny, and is put together in a manner that almost makes it self-destruct when you need to pop a panel off for something. The new IC is maybe better? But the old IC is horrible, lots of wasted space, two speedometers for some reason, just lots of potential wasted there.

And that's my list. Most everything else that bugs me I've figured a way around or upgraded out of it.

The parking brake is the thing I dislike the most (I really don’t “hate” anything about it other than Ford NOT calling the 4-door something like the Bronco Max, the 2-dr should be The Bronco). I don’t like the location of the parking brake switch nor that it’s electric. It should be next to the shifter. It appears that Ford prioritized the cupholders over the parking brake.

The other thing I would have done differently is that I would put the wiper switch on a lever on the right side of the steering column, I’m not a fan of the twisty/push-button on the turn-signal column thing.

Otherwise, other than poor interior material choices, I REALLY enjoy my Bronco!!!
