Help Installing KC Flex Era 3 on Bronco Upfitter switches

I purchased a set of KC Flex Era 3, I watched the install video offered by KC on youtube and while I'm not good at electrical wirings the instructions were plain and simple. Just cut the harness in half, the black wire is ground and the red cable goes to the upfitter switch.

But the Wiring Harness they sent me looks nothing like the one they used on the video, mine has 3 wires and uses a 3 way switch, I'm guessing this is because they added a amber backlight and the harness they used in the original video didn't had them.

I'm looking to install this keeping the ability to turn on the amber backlight and the lights using the upfitter switches. I guess that I'll have to use 2 switches to achieve this, but how???

Cut all of the harness out that you can while still retaining the plug. with what’s left connect the black to ground and the other 2 wires to aux switches

That was my hunch. But since I lack any electrical skills I wanted to make sure before I Blow up my Bronco. Thanks!

If u have a 12 volt jump box laying around you can test it all out before connecting to the bronco. That will also help you determine which wire is the main light and which is the backlighting. Main lights should probably go on aux 1 or 2, backlights would likely be fine on any of the aux 3-6 amp-wise

Did you install the performance yellow lens? If you did, the last picture is the yellow lens with the amber backlight? I'm getting mine installed soon, with some other things.

Yes, I did install the Performance Yellow lenses, and Yes, the last Pic is the amber backlight with the Performance Yellow lenses already installed.

nice!! I have the Flex Era 4s in that location. and JUST today installed the Flex Era 3's but to the front Trail Sights!!! Wanted something a little different......

Correct. The cable that goes to the Negative (Black) I just connected it to one of my Bronco's ground.

For Red and White, one powers the DRL light and one powers the Full power light (Cant remember exact pairing) But those are the one you want connected into your upfitters. If you don't care for the DRL / vanity light feature just connect both cables to the same switch. I connected them into separate switches in case I add other lights with DRL feature I can bundle up them all into that switch.

No, I purchased them directly from KC Hillites website. I remember looking for them on your site but saw no KC Flex Era 3 kit for Broncos, only Diode Dynamics, Baja Design and Morimoto.
