When I had my Bronco Sport you could manually input your own oil changes into the Service Records. I can’t figure out how to do it now on my Full Size Bronco please help.

Can't be done in the app anymore (at least for now). But you can still input them online. @HighVelocity posted the link.

What happens when you enter a service record for an oil change then? Does it reset in your Ford App immediately or...?

They added the ability to create manual service entries in the FordPass app a week or two ago, so my post from last month on Nov 23rd is now invalid.

Sounds like you have it, but if you don't have the ability to do it through your app check for updates—some Android users have had to reinstall the app from scratch it seems. But for me on my iPhone it was just a simple update.

Thanks man, but this is what I was referring to.

I didn't realize we could reset the oil life counter ourselves. I thought there was some magical sensor or something Ford put in to tell when the oil was drained/changed.

Ohhhh… my bad.

Yeah there is no sensor for that. It’s basically keeping track of how the vehicle has been driven and using that data to calculated an estimated oil life. There isn’t anything that is actually sampling or measuring the oil quality.

Once you reset it in the vehicle it’ll send that data up to the FordPass servers and you’ll see it reset in your FordPass app within 24-48 hrs or so.
