Hey Y'all... my first post here, and hopefully I'm in the right place asking in the right way.

Looking at a new 2024 Badlands with Sas and Lux sitting at a dealer. $2k under MSRP.

Good price? Bad price? Just okay?

One problem being is, the Badlands Sas package is overpriced by a couple grand. The Badlands trim has most of the Sas components already built in. Auto or manual?
Yep, understood how Sas is overpriced. My spec is manual, so not so many of those around. Wasn't set on the Lux, but I tend to buy new and drive it 15+ years. So... thinking I should just go for the whole ball of wax with no regrets.

I'm the same as far as length of ownership and I wanted a manual. My comprise was having to get the 4cl engine but it's been great. I'd suggest contacting Granger for an extended warranty - great pricing and if you plan on keeping it, it's probably worth it. just my $0.02

I do t think $2k off MSRP is great. That’s what
The dealer around me is offering. I have seen dealers offering $10k off some models. Where I live you rarely see a new badlands on the lot. I would tell them $5k off and you might be interested.

Already offered $4k below MSRP, and no dice.

Since you're getting a manual (same gearing as a non-sas), for $5240 Sas gets you different wheels/tires and wider fenders. You can buy the Sas wheels/tires for around $1200-1500, non-Sas Badlands take-offs go for about $300 less.

So another point... and this wouldn't apply to many of you yet. I'm in my 60's and internalizing just how short life can be and that I'm gonna be dead for a very long time.

Reality is that I'm not sure how many new cars I'm gonna have. I can afford it, so thinking of indulging myself with exactly the spec I want and not sweat the price too much.

I'm an old FJ-40 guy, and the Bronco is everything and more of what I wanted to build the FJ-40 into.

Let it rot. 24s should be discounted $4-8K by now. When 25s arrive soon you will see large Ford rebates on 24s.
When did the 24s first roll out?

Specific to manual trans, thought I saw speculation that manual may not be available '25 onward?

If that's the case, market for existing manuals could get tight.

Mass market manuals will never be in high demand. It's a niche market. During the peak Bronco prices, I mostly saw manuals on the lot and at discounts whereas everything else was selling $5-10K over.

This is the type of discount you should be seeking. These are pretty loaded Badlands with 2.7L, Lux, and hardtops. Not soft top with mid - that you would expect to be discounted.

Don’t worry about what anyone here thinks, make the decision for yourself. If you want it and can afford it and don’t want to shop around or even go out of state…we’ll pull the trigger.
