For a minute there I thought some grandparents really spoiled a sixteen year old, until I scrolled down in the pic.
Haha I wish. Though in my opinion he’s still hella spoiled but we grew up pretty poor so it’s nice to get him/see him get nice stuff.

I've bought my grandkids several toy Broncos, but if they want a real one they can work for it...or pry it from my cold, dead fingers.

It sure is! Ain't nobody gonna call me a mall crawler!

Today I installed the Ford Full Body Steel Skid Plate Set. Took a whole 30 mins, now I'm ready to step up my wheeling with a touch more confidence.

I'd recommend picking up a transmission skid plate if you're going really hard. I like my LOD plate since I've got a v6 and it protects the Support struts. Slots right into the existing Ford ones and piece of mind is huge.

thanks for the recommendation! I certainly am not done putting skids underneath, trans skid, shock skids, and rear diff skid will be going on next. I’ll check out LOD and see what they got.

How is the noise vs the Goodyears? Where did you get them?

Night and day difference. These are 12 ply with an F load rating, Shityears are 6 ply and C rating. The stiffness if the BFG sidewalls makes for a super quiet ride and the treads do not pick up rocks at all so far. It really is night and day difference for noise.

Took it in to the dealer for a leaky front pinion and blown boot on the PS cv axle - both covered under warranty waiting on parts. They never questioned the lift or other mods. Oh, and they also did the wiper update...

I installed some interior switches in the back to control the interior and exterior lights a couple weeks back. I usually tie the lower position lights to my trucks lighting systems (lights on means switches on) but after some testing I learned about the CANBUS system and how typically the wires going to things are always hot and always grounded and the computer sends a data signal to control the on/off functions. (My other truck I modify is a 2001 Tacoma so think basic 12v system)

Through stubborness and experimentation I learned that the rear cargo light uses the same plug as the dome light. Well @IAG Performance made a module for their interior light kit that lets their system turn on with the dome so I figure maybe it was worth seeing if they had the same style plug. Sure enough they do, so I installed that and wired the hot for the lower LED's in the switches to come on and off with the domes. Power to the actual accessories are being powered via the 12v plug from 4dtech.

This gave me a clean solution that has the switch backlights independent of the power going to the lights themselves.

A little demo:
