Greetings,

It was just 3 years ago I was a reservation holder for a Bronco WT, however, orders to ship overseas before I could take delivery forced me to cancel. Fast forward now and I'm looking to order a MY2025 Bronco Raptor for when I return to the states in Nov 2025. Its early I know, or maybe I'm already late for a MY2025 (shocking how fast things can move)..

1. I am assuming I will want to get on a dealer wait list to place a MY2025 reservation as soon as possible. Is it to early now or should I call a dealer asap? When will FORD open up configuration and ordering the MY25 Bronco Raptor (estimated)?

2. Lots has changed post pandemic, will it still be hard to order a Bronco Raptor at MSRP if its a brand new MY2025?

Too early as there are no details on MY 25’. I’m sure some dealers can put you on pre-order list and those will easily sell for MSRP but if you want under MSRP then sure it might not be too early to start asking dealers for under MSRP or invoice order.

Are you looking for dealer near the area you will settle into once you are back or anywhere in US will do?

Preferably I would like to pick the vehicle up on the west coast (California), but I am open to using a reputable dealer anywhere if it means a clean and pleasant buying experience and even better if I am able to get the vehicle around the time I return.

You can't really place an order (in a traditional sense) for a Raptor as they're limited production vehicles. Dealers need to be awarded allocations for limited production vehicles, and most only get a few each month.

So your best bet is to find a dealer that has an open allocation. Some dealers have wait lists that you can be placed on. Some will take and submit your order, but it has effectively zero chance of getting built unless they get an allocation. Each dealer handles it differently.
Is it to early now or should I call a dealer asap? When will FORD open up configuration and ordering the MY25 Bronco Raptor (estimated)?
Too early—2025 order banks aren't opened yet, and we have no idea when Ford will open them. There's certainly no harm in calling around now to get a feel for dealers, but there is no official information regarding 2025 yet.

Dealers are typically given a couple weeks heads-up before the order banks open, and as of right now the dealers have not been given that heads-up. But assuming Ford follows the schedule from previous model years, 2025 order banks should open near the end of summer. Roughly 4-6 weeks from now.
2. Lots has changed post pandemic, will it still be hard to order a Bronco Raptor at MSRP if its a brand new MY2025?
It's pretty easy to find a leftover MY2023 below MSRP right now, and 2024 Raptors are available right around MSRP. So chances are you shouldn't have an issue finding a MY2025 at MSRP. But we also don't know what Ford has planned for MY2025. If they release some hot-ticket feature for the Raptor that everyone wants, it may become more difficult.

We should find out more in the coming weeks, around early-mid August about what's in store. Typically Ford has had the trend of releasing the new MY on/or around August which marks when the Bronco was first introduced in 1965.

Your storytelling sounds mighty familiar. I had a reservation for a 21 badlands, which I checked on daily. My dealer called me and told me that he had a Wildtrac coming in, and the guy that ordered it, was being sent overseas. The dealer told me that he had to offer it to someone who had a reservation.
By the way, as of Friday, the 25 order bank had not opened. Thanks for your service

Im on the same page as @RagnarKon. A local dealer to me has a 2023 $12k off just pick one of those up. Unless you like getting nailed with depreciation.

Raptors are manually allocated so it’s not as easy to order one compared to other trims

Granger is definitely easy to deal with as that’s who I purchased from and plenty of others on here have. I think on 24’ Braptors they offered small discount but I don’t 100% recall. They should be getting 25’ regular and Braptor allocations for 25’.

Thank you @RagnarKon for the detailed response! To clarify, when is the dealer notified they have been awarded an allocation? Will dealer know they have been awarded allocations before the initial opening of the order banks? Is this on a monthly basis after the order banks open?

If I recall I had a fully specked Race Red WT with Kearny Mesa Ford in San Diego. I waited more than a year and it took so long that I ended up getting orders overseas and moving. Just 2 months into being overseas I was finally issued my VIN and vehicle was only a couple months from being able to pick up. I was going to try and take delivery and have it shipped overseas, but ultimately the military wouldn't pay for it since I had already executed orders. So I had to ask KMF to take it. I bet someone was happy to get it and KMF was a pleasure to work with. I am actually reaching out to them to see if I can buy the Raptor I seek. So we will see.

Dealers are sometimes provided a rough estimate at the beginning of the model year, but that's simply an estimate and doesn't really mean anything. "Actual" allocations are awarded on a monthly-ish basis. I say "ish" because some months are combined. November and December, for example, are typically combined into a single allocation pool.

Dealers most likely won't get allocations until scheduling beings, but there is no guarantees they'll start handing out Raptor allocations during the first round of scheduling. We don't know when scheduling for 2025 will start, but if it similar to previous model years, that'll happen early fall: last week of September into the first few weeks of October.

You have been gone a long time. Braptors are everywhere and under MSRP. My dealer in Michigan still has a 2023 on the lot. You can easily buy one off the lot pretty much everywhere. You don't need to order one at all. They want to get rid of the old stock.

When you said Ive been gone along time, I thought about Rose :cwl:. But yes, I think I am still stuck in the mindset of pandemic times when the Bronco was just launching. Seems there are plenty of deals to be had and inventory has caught up.
