Exciting news here. I may have been the first of many for the HE, first to take delivery and now first to have a cam phaser rattle like a damn party under the hood. Already had the AC system replaced looking forward to how this plays out. So sad that I had less issues with my 06 F250 (supposedly dreaded 6.0) than the Bronco. Oh well figured I’d let yall know the HE’s aren’t exempt from the cam phaser issue nor did they fix it for the 23 model.

Yea, seen quite a few people stating that they are having the phaser rattle on startup.
Is that what yours is doing? Start up or constant?

I think that's the diesel option!

Yes, it's the notorious 2.7 cam phaser issue.

another reason i opted for the 4 banger

that being said my 4 cylinder makes a lot of noise too.

Update: I just left the dealer, drop off appointment for tomorrow morning. service manager said there is a recent TSB out for the phasers. Said it should only take a couple days to get back up and running. Fingers crossed

there has been a tsb on ford cam phasers since 2003!!

@EvilJim1971 I thought of you as I crawled all over this original... Owner says he has taken it to every state in the nation now.

There’s a nice article about that Bronco in the latest issue of Bronco Driver magazine. I’d love to add one to our collection, but the prices are pretty steep!

The last one I saw was in the $80+k range... And it was kinda rough.
