Black Friday decisions..

I had made my mind up to pick up a Ford ProCal for Black Friday but then the Pulsar XT came out, now I don't know which I want....I like the Ford for my warranty, I purchased an extended warranty and don't want to lose it, but I like the Pulsar too and can remove it before I have any service done, not a problem... my only concern is that the Pulsar can also be used to change other things such as the double honk, pedal control, all of which I want but Even though they say it doesn't write to the computer and is not detectible when removed, aren't these changes noticeable??
Has anyone had one of the inline programmers and removed it for warranty work, Could they see it, or is it safe as long as it is removed before taking the Bronco in??
I am also wondering if the Ford is as aggressive as the Pulsar and I don't like having to pay the dealer to install it, I feel that could be expensive....anyone had this done???

I have the Pulsar, and can speak to that. I cannot speak on the ProCal, but there are plenty of posts on that here. I think there are advantage and disadvantages to each. I choose the Pulsar as it appears that 93 octane fuel is required to get the most out of the ProCal, and thats not readily available where I live. Also, the Pulsar can be 'set to stock' to run 87 octane where it appears that the ProCal requires a minimum of 91. The Pulsar is also not locked to the vehicle so there is a re-sell option there that doesn't exist with the ProCal. Warranty wise, I think its a wash, as you stated the Pulsar can, and should, be removed prior to going to the dealer for service. I think that the Pulsar can provide more power than the ProCal can, based on my 0-60 testing and calculations, but it does NOT provide any transmission tuning, which seems to be a big advantage to the ProCal. The Pulsar also provides the little things, like playing around with the different lighting options, turning off the double honk and start / stop, throttle pedal engagement, etc. that led me to purchasing that option.

I have the Ford Procal. The reason why I purchased the Ford is because of the transmission tune. That makes a serious difference beyond the power bump. Both combined give you the results you would want to see/feel. I also have other go-fast parts installed.

The Procal also gives you the ability to look at tires, and gear sizes, adjust parameters, and well as diagnose codes.

The Pulsar also offers the ability to change tire size, and check / clear codes. It does not have feature any change gear sizes on the system.

I installed it myself, no problem, @ my buddies shop, which is an ASE mechanic
Also, I have a relationship with my dealer's service, they know I mod and work on my vehicles.
