My wife is due end of June with our daughter. Really hoping to have the car before then …It is perplexing…are we simply at the beginning of the line for a new round of shipping? My window is 5/24-5/30. My son graduates from high school 5/27 and my brother and other family members whom I see very little are coming into town. I was hoping it would arrive before or on 5/27. There is still hope, but there is little sand in the hour glass. I am in Nashville, TN, so I am ruling out location as the cause for delay. We have a HUGE rail yard in town. Again, they may simply be loading rail cars until they have a “full” train.
I was reading another forum on the f150 site that talked about the dumb way they load the trains and it having nothing to do with priority of wait. If you get built at the end of the cycle and just miss the train, you’ll be at the back of the lot. They’ll fill the train front of lot to back. So if you are way in the back, you can get passed over a few times resulting in significant delays. Hence why it seems sometimes people get quick ships randomly vs long waits for others. Just a luck of what’s going on the moment yours is built. It could roll off the line and end up being loaded right onto a train without making it to the lot.
