Without knowing your whole situation/the details, generally speaking, whenever the words "tighter financial situation" are apart of the conversation, clearly the "stupid" thing to do would be to buy ANOTHER vehicle (not to mention a top trim version). Not selling your current vehicle obviously makes that situation even worse. Everybody would like to have a nice Bronco AND a Mustang but if it straps you in any way shape or form, probably not a smart move. Just pretend the Bronco is a boat. Would you go out and buy a boat without worrying about the money? If so, then go for it.
Let's be clear... no one NEEDS a Bronco. :p

I did same with my ‘21 Jeep HA Gladiator i bought about a year into waiting for my Bronco silliness (900 plus days from reserve lol )just to have some fun with because i always wanted one when they came out but they were hard to get at launch..but I liked it so much when my bronco finally came in 2 months ago this year I ended up keeping it..at least for now I have both..and fun..same but different vehicles

Dump the Mustang. It's 2023 and that architecture is so unpractical I had trouble getting anyone to ride in it or the Camaros I had. The back seat is a waste of space.

I have many issues with it because it's so stuck in its heritage. It lost to a Chevy Cruze as the preferred vehicle. The last Cruze was nice but it wasn't targeting muscle cars when it was introduced.

I've been on travel and got a ride with a co-worker that rented a Mustang. I got to listen to half an hour of complaints and wonder why anyone would buy one?

Conversely, under a minute into my first test drive in a 2 door Bronco with a manual I came to the conclusion it's a Mustang killer. Why buy that when you can get a year round vehicle that is more fun and practical to drive?

A Big Bend or Outer Banks with their standard tires are really good on pavement.

Like many of you, sold the Mustang to make room for the Bronco. Only thing I miss about the Mustang is the rumble of the V8. (And the 5 spd.) No amount of money can make a turbo V6 sound as good as a V8. Loving the Bronco.

I'm in the same boat. I maybe selling my Shelby GT500 after I get my WIldtrak next week. I just see myself driving the Bronco daily and my GT500 not so much.

Totally different set of circumstances, regular GT dime a dozen and can be found for cheap, GT500 not meant to be driven much, ie; beautiful weekend days and will be worth more the less miles. If I owned a GT350/500 and could also get a Bronco I’d be the happiest guy on earth, oh and single, I’d be single so I guess not thee happiest. 🤔🤣

Keep the Stand !!! Eat out less, cancel cable , pick up OT, don't drink in bars. Cut the money from somewhere else!!

Im dumber than hell.... I kept 4 motorcycles including a Ducati Monster 1200R which is ridiculously impractical and expensive to own. It wont even take a passenger and has zero storage. I could have paid for about 1/2 my Wildtrak in cash with my down payment and the proceeds of selling that bike. Didn't even consider it.

Makes a Mustang GT look downright practical......Unless its an automatic. If it's an auto sell it LOL.

So , my wildtrak will be delivered in the next week or so and my 2015 mustang which I originally was going to keep must be sold so I can be in a better position with the bronco..
I don't HAVE TO sell the mustang but it would greatly help me with a lil tigher financial situation currently. Basically I'd be losing one horse but gaining another ..my question is, am I stupid for getting rid of this car? Or is the bronco that much fun that I won't mind ? Or buck up and tighten the belt? I know this is very opinion based but I just wanted some light hearted feedback to soften the loss of my baby..here she is..

I’ve owned several mustangs. 7 to be exact. They are fun to drive. I can’t say I miss any of them right now. I’ve owned GT’s and a few convertibles. I’ve become more of a 4X4 daily driver. You can’t really compare the two. But when you get the look of one you actually love you won’t look back. I love the versatility of a convertible SUV top on or off. The total comfort and space for 4 people, I own a 4 door. The look of the front end or they rear. Totally love it!! It’s not as bouncy as a Jeep. And drives much better. I’ve owned a few of those too. I am pretty much content with my Bronco and love to drive it. I haven’t had any issues with mine. And plan on keeping it for as long as I live. Maybe pass it down to a grandkid. If financially would be best to sell it. Do it!!!

I have a camaro 2ss 500hp is something you can't replace with a bronco and I have thought about trading it in. I'm willing to chance my budget around and tighten up on other things able to keep both. A bronco is that an amazing car but a muscle car is a muscle car

You're right, lots of opinions here. If you intend to use the Bronco as a daily driver, keeping the 'stang may not make as much sense for short and long term financial success. That said, if you plan to wheel the Bronco hard, it may be a good idea to have a 2nd vehicle as a backup if/when something breaks. I have an F250 that I kept when I picked up the Bronco because of the ability to tow my tractor or an RV.

Based on what you said, you don't have to sell it now. Plus you don't have all the information you need to make an informed decision (you do not know how you will react to the Bronco). Get the Bronco, see how it is, then decide if you want to sell your Mustang.
