Carbonized Gray... How is the upkeep?

Hello Guys,

Looking to purchase a carbonized grey that my dealer has on the lot... I normally prefer lighter colors that don't show dust at all, how is this color in that regard? Also do swirl marks show a lot?

Can't speak for a carbonized grey bronco, but the sterling grey metallic mustang I had (almost identical to carbonized grey) was very easy to maintain and it hid scratches and light dirt/dust well. Swirls also don't show much at all either which is nice.

Dust will definitely show up close... swirl marks depends on how you wash and take care of it ne thinks

Mine shows pollen and water spots from rain really bad, mainly on the hood. I hand wash every weekend and quick detail the hood a few times a week. Pollen is so bad here in TX that my truck gets covered in a layer of it in my closed garage...

Pretty low maintenance, hosed it off once or twice in the last 6 months. Flat hoods are a pollen collector on any color bronco though.

I love the carbonized gray personally. I almost got that color except the sun in FL is super hot so I got white. If I lived up north I for sure would have got the gray. Keep it well waxed and you should be fine.

The biggest issue with the upkeep is that you have to re-carbonize it every year.

had mine almost two years now and looks brand new even after two winters with salt covered roads and summers of driving on the beach
wash with the presser washer and chemical guys quick detail spray after wash that's all I have done. The inside needs a good cleaning tho lol kids make a mess

I am a very picky person with detailing, I will not buy black ever the carbonized gray is very easy to take care of shines up really nice and I think Ford did a great job with the paint quality!
