Did you have to pay extra for this color? Ford is charging $500 for it. Any particular reason why they are charging, what's so special about it (besides that it looks so cool). They are also charging $1,000 for another color. Wondering what the reason behind it is.

Hot Pepper Red is a Tri-Coat process that is more expensive to formulate and apply correctly. Also it's a bear to touch up as most Tri-Coat paint is no matter the color.

Like it was stated it is an additional cost. But overall the color palette Ford has sucks. When it first launched I was going Area 51. Thank God my Bronco took 3 years to build so I can see everyone else on in my area drive around with it. It’s so played out and I don’t even like it now. HPR is gorgeous. Pictures don’t do it justice. The orange come out much more in person. I guess because of the extra cost but I’ve only seen one other one in person in my area. I love that I’m in the minority with it.
Just submitted my 23, 24 WILDTRAK RACE RED, 4dr, high, leather, hard top, tow. Let’s see if I take delivery faster then my day 1 Badlands Sasquatch from order to delivery 20 months.
I’m in! It’s not the BD I’ve had on order since 2020, but I found it at MSRP and decided it will be a holdover until I finally get a build date. If I get a build date.…Hopefully, it will hold it‘s value.
I like that! A LOT with all of that orange!These were posted in another forum and labeled as HBR. Like othper colors, looks very different in different light.
