I tried yesterday, Chat told me
"I show that your Bronco is in transit. On my end I am not showing a railcar listed or a carrier. At this time I have provided all available information within my scope. Your selling dealership is in the best position to track your vehicle order as they have been supplied with the required resources and programs to track the vehicle details for scheduling issues/timing.
If your sales manager is unable to assist, you can also contact our new vehicle support team at 800-334-4375. Their hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST"

I did call the number and was told my Bronco was somewhere in Ohio yesterday morning. They wouldn't give me rail car info though, I asked twice, nicely.

It’s the worst when the dealer has the best info bc they either inept or just don’t care to share any info. Really hope ford can find a way to eliminate them. Truly seems like a stain on the brand’s reputation.

My dealer (Chapman, Horsham PA) has been informative and helpful so far -seems they're the exception though. I don't want to bug them about little things, which definitely don't matter in the long run, so I'm trying to only contact when I have questions about the transaction

I'm with Granger, and I have hardly contacted them at all over the last 28 months, but now I'm asking a few more questions. They got back to me right away, but they don't have the information I'm looking for.

Found these tidbits in two of the super ordering threads.

Seems to be easier to track by convoy. To track Rail you will need your dealer to give you the rail car number your Bronco is sitting in, or have them track it for you. Dealers have the ability to track it and see the rail car number in the Vehicle Visibility system. The rail car number should also populate on your DORA after shipping out.

...

And lastly to see if it’s scheduled on the Convoy (Truck not Rail) to your Dealer!
https://palsapp.com

If you are going by rail, it’s more complicated…

First you will need the rail car letters and numbers. It is on the visibility report or DORA which is from the dealership. You MAY be able to get it from the SVT people but they seem often in a cranky mood and may tell you to get it from the dealer.

There are two major rail companies.

CSX is everything east of the mississippi
UP is everything west of the mississippi

But they all start out on CSX so once they have it in their system they will follow it all the way.

So, how do you track your truck on a railcar?

First and most important. Never talk to live personnel at the railroad! Only use automated phone system. If it attempts to transfer you to a live person please hang up. The railcar information we are provided by is given as a courtesy and if we call live personnel we may lose the access and ability to track.

CSX
1. Call the CSX 1-800-235-2352
2. When prompted for location or weight, press "1" on your phone for location.
3. When prompted for the car initials, say CN (or whatever initials you have) then wait for the next prompt.
4. When prompted for the car number, say 907048 (or whatever your number is)
5. When prompted for next car say DONE.
6. That's it; enjoy your updated status report.

Union Pacific
1. Call UP at 1 800 877-5123 1 800 877-5123
2. Follow phone prompts for Trace
3. Say the railcar number complete and clearly. Example CN123456 all together
4. Listen for your update

NS Norfolk Southern
1. Call 800-635-5768
2. Press 2.
3. Press 2.
4. Enter the letters on the numeric keypad then press #. As in: TTGX will be 8849
5. Enter the numbers then press #. It wasn't taking my voice prompts but typing worked.

My dealer sent me an email saying they can't find any of my rebates (PP/PCO) in the Ford system. I have had the certificate numbers since at least last fall. If Ford customer service has the information to share with me, why can't @Ford Motor Company share it with my dealer?
You're in a better position than me! I tried Ford Chat yesterday to ask about my private offer, and they gave me the New Vehicle Support Team's number. New Vehicle Support Team wasn't able to locate a private offer for me and told me to ask my dealer. I reached out to my dealer, but haven't heard anything. Hopefully they'll get it sorted before my Bronco arrives!

Just be sure in addition to your Private Offer in Smart Vincent that you get the Retail Price Protection which covers the 2/10 increase. For your 2 door, it is an extra $2,000. Oh, and the $100 for the reservation too. They have been great so far but expect an issue with this. Better explanation of this program in the stickied PP thread or direct from Tim in this thread complete with the relevant documents.

*Fixed the link. Docs in there somewhere or in the main PP thead>

Mine was at the NS Auto Distribution Location in DE Saturday morning so should arrive at the dealer any day. (different build week but same dealer) Took a week by train from MI to DE to give you a rough idea if you have your shipped date and eveything goes smoothly.

Thanks so much for this info BigHoof!
This is helpful - I have my Private Offer cert. # but last I spoke to Chapman and Ford they didn't have info about how the $2,000 price increase would be handled. Chapman basically said "We'll see how it's invoiced when it arrives."

I'll be watching your updates, thank you again and GOOD LUCK!

Pretty much what I was told too. But the way it works is they are invoiced at the new higher price but credited back when you purchase the Bronco. A little more involved but that is the basics. They said I would have to pay the higher price and the program did not apply to Bronco which is not correct. Just check out the slides Tim provided in the thread linked to confirm.

I just got off the phone with Ford Customer Support and after speaking with 3 different people, no one can locate my CPO/PP numbers. Ford stated that the dealership needs to look and go through their "Ford Resources" to try and locate this CPO/PP, but they are unwilling to try and locate it until the vehicle ships. Dealership is saying to reach out to Ford Customer Support to see if they can locate it...blah blah blah and so on and so forth.

This is getting beyond frustrating that I keep getting tossed back and forth between the two and I just want to know where the promised CPO/PP is for my Bronco I've waited coming up on two years! $2,580 is a lot of money that I don't want to miss out on just because a technical issue with Ford's software. Is there someone higher up I can contact?

In other frustrating news, the Ford lady did tell me that my Bronco is produced and ready to be shipped, but she can't seem to find out why I haven't been updated as "Built" on the tracker. She said that my Bronco is waiting to be picked up by the railyard to be shipped, but she has no ETA on when that will be. She said that on her internal tracking it is showing a delivery date of 3/24 - 3/30 to my dealership.

I just want to speak with someone who could help me with this problem. Ordered 3/18/2021 -> Order Confirmed 10/30/2021 (IDK why so late) -> Switched to Badlands from WildTrak 1/29/2022 -> Order Re-Confirmed 11/9/2022 for MY2023 -> Switched to Everglades 12/31/2022 -> Scheduled 1/10/2023 for Build Week 2/27/2023. Did me switching to an Everglades ruin this? Every resource I've read has told me no....

Stephens Auto is handling this by refunding the money that Ford sends, 30-60 days after the sale. So, all of the rebates, etc. are fine up (if you are in the system) until the February price increase of $2k for a 2 door. So, you pay the $2k increase and then receive a refund.

Disappointing news, to be sure, but totally expected with the way Ford has handled the price protection, private offers and everything else.

Other dealers may handle this differently.
