How do you interpret the window sticker fields?
Sponsored
I was curious what the numbers on top next to Vin Thanks!Well… what do you want to know exactly?
There’s a lot of data on the window sticker… most of it is “human readable”, but if there is something specific your looking for I could probably tell you how to find it.
THANK YOU!![]()
The number circled in BLUE is the VIN number. First handful of characters (smaller digits) identify the model, engine, etc. The last handful (in bold) are effectively the vehicle's serial number. First two digits identify the model year and assembly plant (P = 2023, L = Michigan Assembly), the last 6 are the number identifier for that vehicle.
The number circled in ORANGE is a sequencing number. Helps identify the build on the assembly line so the parts get to the right spot.
The number above the sequencing number I'm actually not 100% sure about. I was told it helps match the sled the vehicle is riding on with the correct painted body panels. But someone else in the past told me I was wrong about that.
