Have we heard whether or not we are able to take delivery from a different dealership if we cancel our order, and still be eligible for the credit?

I found my exact build at a different dealer and the ADM is tolerable... even more so with the credit. But I don't want to cancel my order if I won't be able to apply that to my OTD price with the new dealer.

Would you roll the dice and see if it gets built as is or take off the constraints?

being in the northeast and definitely wanting to go up to 35s makes both of my constraint items pretty painful to remove.

I'd inquire how many orders they have and where you're at in that line. Then ask how many allocations they are expecting for 2023. First and foremost, you're in a battle with other orders at your dealership fighting for a spot in their allocation.

Make sure your dealer COVP'd your current order before you make any changes. Then if you make changes, you'll have to COVP that updated order too.

I'd honestly just make sure your current order is COVP'd and hang tight for a bit, to see how this shakes out. COVP has to be done within the next week. Changes away from constraints for the $2500, you have more time to figure that out. I think early March is the deadline if I remember correctly. Ford will still build Broncos with SAS and hardtops. You just need to figure out how that all fits together at your dealership, then make a decision after you get more info, if they give it to you.

Per the video from @FordVideoGuy Heritage Editions are not constrained and are not at capacity so we're good to go but still are under the allocation umbrella.

He seemed to initially say this. Then he changed it saying he did not know if they were at capacity. I think he got mixed up with Everglades.

Though, this could be a good strategy. If they are going to build a certain amount of Heritage models anyway, maybe this is a way one could get a Sasquatch. MIC will not be an issue. Hopefully they can build the MOD tops.

Granger is telling me I have to go from a 2-door to a 4-door to get the $2,500. This is the opposite of what everyone else is saying. @Zach@Granger, can you comment?

That isn't true from everything I've read or heard from reputable sources. The @FordVideoGuy covered all this in his live stream last night. It's long but worth the listen for solid information. If you go watch the video, they start the meat and potatoes Bronco talk at around the 40 minute mark.

I think if anyone is serious about getting a Bronco, the time investment in that video is worth it. It answered many questions I had or scenarios I was thinking about. It's long, but to have solid information on a vehicle you're wanting to spend 10's of thousands of dollars on, it's worth the time investment.

What is your Job order number? 1 or 2
If it's 2 good luck getting a Bronco. This kept me from getting a 2022. You definitely want Job Order #1

The lower the number the higher the priority.

Dealers can only set numbers between 10 and 19. Back in the "normal times", that gave dealers some flexibility in how their orders get scheduled. Nowadays it's basically meaningless, because the commodity constraints are the biggest factor in whether you get scheduled or not.

Only Ford can set priority codes lower than 10. Ford had asked that dealers obtain COVP approval for all Bronco orders in 2023 (but of course some dealers are terrible at their jobs and never did it). Once the COVP submission was approved by Ford, they would reduce the priority code 2 as a way to incentivize dealers to submit for COVP approval.


WHICH BRINGS UP A REALLY GOOD POINT

If you want the $2500 offer, your order MUST be COVP approved BEFORE making modifications to your order. The deadline for COVP submissions is January 24th (less than a week away). If your order is not COVP approved prior to making modifications to your order, you will not receive the $2500 offer.

In addition, depending on which modifications you make, your dealer may have to resubmit your COVP application for approval after the modifications are made. This primarily will only impact Wildtrak customers since they have to switch trims (depends which trim they switch to), but definitely mention it to your dealer when you modify you order.

As far as I can tell, having COVP does not get you to Priority 2. I'm still at a 19 (as are all other Bronco orders at my dealer). Only when Ford is previewing an order and getting close to assigning a VIN will you be at PC2.

It's true if your current order is a base 2-door without lux/sas. Because in that case, you have nothing to drop, to be eligible for the $2500.

Also, even if you do have lux/sas to drop from the 2-door, while you can then be eligible for the $2500, I suspect that is a losing bet. Realistically that 2-door will not get delivered in 2023, and you won't get that $2500.

If you want any reasonable shot at a 2023 Bronco, you will likely need to switch from 2-door to 4-door soft top.

I agree with your first point about the $2500.

I think getting a 2dr will depend more on what options you have on your 2dr build and where you fall on the list at your dealer. 2dr Broncos will get built. There's information out there that around 60% of the 2dr orders will get built this year based upon the constraint table floating around. I believe the Ford Video Guy covered this in his live stream last night too.

Agreed, the place a customer falls on the individual dealer list, will play a significant part.

I think the forum member I responded to, is on the Granger list, which is one of the larger waiting lists. A forum member on that same list at #21, I recall commented even he was advised to switch from 2-door to 4-door, to have a decent shot at 2023 delivery. So folks further down on the list, I just don't see 2-door happening in 2023.

I keep in mind Ford as been advising customers the past year, to switch to a 4-door soft top low optioned Bronco. And this latest $2500 offer I don't think changes that. In general, I'm more skeptical than most, of 2-doors working out for people, due to the hard top. I'm definitely on the wrong side of that 60% estimate.

In a moment of clarity and truth, one of the connected video guys, said anyone with hardtop/lux/sas, "ain't getting a Bronco in 2023". While technically that's not totally accurate, and as you point out a certain percentage of 2-doors will get produced, I think it's closer to the truth than Ford is letting on.

Yeah, we'll see in Nov/Dec how it all shakes out. I'm not convinced anyone really "knows" exactly what will happen or what is best to do in this situation.
