Like many folks on this forum, I have been doing a lot of thinking over the long weekend. Shifting to BL or OBX is doable because the suspension upgrade market is competitive and long established. The hard top is different. There are only two aftermarket suppliers and neither have achieved the production economies of scale to sell their products anything near to the Jeep equivalent.

While the Webasto MIC isn't perfect, it is covered by the factory warranty.

I park on the street in an urban neighborhood where cars get broken in pretty often. Also, the oak and maple pollen is PITA for keeping soft tops clean. I used to own a convertible and know from experience.

'Forcing' a decision in February may make sense in Ford's mind, but it's too early for just $2500. Realistically, the MIC replacement is $7,000. A silver lining is that I would have a soft top If want it seasonally.

Canceling the order gets me $100 back (which is nothing).

I think rolling the dice and keeping my WT order makes sense. If Ford can't produce it this year, I'll see what Toyota does with the new Land Cruiser.

My thoughts exactly. The hard top is a deal breaker, especially when no one knows how much an after market one will cost or how well it will hold up. I’m seeing $5600 on a aftermarket “prototype” , more then double the $2500 ford is offering us

Not a lot of inventory around here. Those that are used want crazy prices and the new broncos all have ADMs. Sure if I want to spend way more money I could buy myself out of this situation as others could as well. After waiting since day 1 (and doing so very patiently) on this, that isn't something I am interested in doing. I have been a loyal and patient customer of Fords over the years. 4 plus cars and trucks and have dealt with waits before-2012 Raptor was about 11 months. My 1995 Bronco was the first new car I ever bought. These changes aren't about one thing. We are being asked to give up on a lot of things that we wanted. Things that made this truck appealing to me and most importantly I HAVE WAITED FOR.

Ford is making a choice on how to handle this, the question is what will my choice be-right now, it is likely leaving my order and if it doesn't get delivered by this Summer when I need a car, Ford will lose me as a customer FOREVER. THAT is my choice and I am sure they don't care either way.

Really wish we knew how this was going to affect Heritage Editions. If Sasquatch tires are the constraint, it makes me wonder if they are getting pushed to MY24, and no PP. That seems the most likely outcome.

BL, Soft top, no LUX seems like the best "deal" of the options listed.

This place is right next to where I live. They've got at least 2 WTs for sale (VB and CO). Not sure if the other 4-door is still available. They've got to have a pretty hefty ADM since they've been there a while.

Unfortunately they want 70k for both….With my price protection, I was all in at less than 56k. I may call anyway to see if there is wiggle room but suspect not. Thanis for the heads up though.

That is what I will miss the most as well. Mine in my truck gets used a lot! I wonder if there is a way to add one down the road?

Maybe. I do know there are aftermarket options. Not sure how well they work though. The one on my F 150 works great!

This was exactly what I was thinking. Sit and hold out and if/when the LC comes out make a decision on that. Wouldn't be the 1st time I passed on a Ford for a Toyota.
