The good news is that a lot of us are learning about patience. Heavy doses of learning.

I've been in an apathetic mode for about 6 months, so I don't need patience anymore. I got the shipped email from Ford this morning. 7/20/20 reservation, ordered January 2021, 11/22 blend, 12/05 "built".

I would have never ordered had I known it was going to take 24 months since they first opened the order banks. The funniest part is the MIC top that was a big part of the delay is no longer needed or wanted after our winter is over in two months. Starting in October we will winter in Florida for 6+ months where I will have a power soft top. The top and door will be off much of the year so the MIC top will be for sale soon.

It will likely arrive in Minnesota when we leave for Florida next week for 6 days, lol. The dealer will likely do something stupid like drill holes for the license plate bracket when we are gone.

Expect the worst and Ford will come through for you!!

Latest Update for me..... i havent received any kind of email since the second push back date in early december. i just check the tracker daily. Still showing "built", i contacted ford chat last week and was told delivery between 1-9 and 1-20..... the lack of any communication is what really irks me.... i dont mind waiting, but i shouldnt have to be fishing to find the info... ford should at least keep us updated on changes... literally if i didnt know how or wouldnt have been checking the last correspondence i received was it would be delivered by December 3rd.

Im patient.. hell ive waited this long, i just feel that the whole process at MAP is severely lacking any rhyme or reason, and to many that is a direct reflection on @fordmotor.

My 11/22 blend was on chip hold and "built" 12/05. I got the "shipped" email from Ford this morning. I got the rail car from Ford chat a few minutes ago and called CSX, the rail company. It was loaded in Wayne MI yesterday(MAP location) and isn't estimated to get to Indiana(on it's way to Minneapolis) until 1/15. If that is correct, it won't arrive at the rail yard in the Twin Cities for about another 7-10 days and then will likely sit there for a couple days before being loaded on a truck. I'll guess at about two weeks from my shipped email today until I see it at the dealer. Ford estimates 1/15 delivery at the dealer on their website but that is obviously wrong.

If I had known it would take two years, I could have ordered the soft top and likely would have had it 9+ months ago. I have zero need for a hard top after March of this year(wintering in FL each year for 7 months starting in October), and I knew that 2 years ago. Most of the time, the top will be down, and half the time, I'll have the doors off of it. The average high temp in Naples in January, their coldest month, is 75º F.

The good news is I can sell the MIC top for I'm guessing $5k or more and the power soft top is about $4,500 so I'll have what I want for no extra cost.


I'll keep it as I've wanted an off-road vehicle for a long time. It's my first new vehicle at age 57(my wife has ordered 5 new vehicles in our 28-year marriage), so I'm deserving, especially after having company-owned minivans and base mid-size SUV's for over 20 years. I've suffered with crappy underpowered cars through all of my 30's and 40's, lol. Minivans slowly kill your driving soul, and I put over 500,000 miles on 6 different base models over 13 continuous years.

I was worried when I saw a flurry of photos yesterday and nothing for me. Happy surprise this morning!

It's still in Gibson, IN. No change. Hopefully it leaves soon. Not that I'm eager to get it or anything...

My 23 year old daughter is buying that one when my original reservation arrives soon.

I don’t regret waiting or ordering a soft top to hold me over but I wonder how many others like me bought multiple Broncos and how large a factor it still is in delaying others from getting theirs sooner. Ford changing the rules along the way had many of us changing our behaviors in response to their screwy decisions. Adapt or die as Darwin would say.

No doubt. My three children were affected more than most adults but they will recover quickly as they are in their teens or older. It's a huge disgrace what the school shutdowns/remote learning did to younger children. Even the ultra-left NY Times is now admitting that covid erased two decades of progress in math and reading.

I love the way Ford ends the Estimated Arrival Date emails with " We will continue to keep you informed regarding your vehicle’s estimated time of delivery." Nope. Another EDD window passes just like the last 5 with no communication from Ford and you have to hit up Chat to confirm the bad news you already know - officially their word is now 1/15-1/20. No way that's possible. It's just comical now. I might find a creative way to put all the EDD dates on my bumper cuz might as well wear them as memorial of suffering

Ford’s customer communication department could be run better by a 15 year old. I got a “shipped” email yesterday(1/11) that said my estimated delivery was 1/9 to 1/15. I checked with CSX this morning and their update is it will arrive in Indiana(on it’s way to Minneapolis) on 1/15. I won’t see it at my dealer until at least 1/22 and it could easily be early February as my dealer informs me that the rail yard in St. Paul is backed up at least a week.

You would think after all the Bronco delays someone at Ford would just direct them to add a week or two to their estimated delivery dates. FWIW, my first estimated delivery from Ford was 12/16-12/23.

Sorry, but I disagree. They DID have something to tell me. There WAS an update (even though I know it's just the system bumping me to the next week), but I had to reach out to THEM to get an answer AFTER the previous EDD they communicated passed. I am just holding them accountable to their promise of updated communications. I get that this is not a new or unique experience for any of us, lots of things Ford can't control... but it's simple customer experience management and for those of us that vent about it for the 1,000th time knowing the outcomes won't change, aren't doing so to hear a reason why Ford didn't do anything wrong. We're just doing it for group therapy with the forum. We are not expecting a "better" answer or date each time, we're just saying "Hey Ford, please stop making yourself look stupid over and over".
