FCA called, they said thanks for adding fender flares and the 2 tone paint job but they want their Patriot back.

that better? not very good as I did it in paint. but I think thats more realistic in length.
Yeah, that looks much closer to 4 door wrangler proportions. I took that and have done an even worse photoshop job but made a 2 door out of it:

This is from the blue oval forums /u/PremierDrum who posts as someone who seems to have inside info.

All these renders are nailing individual elements, but completely losing scale and interaction.

I don't envision too much protesting around here come May... or sooner.

inside info.
thanks for bringing me back off the ledge...though Jalisurr's 2-door makes it look less like the Titanic

I guess here’s my real problem other than the length: where’s the aggression? Modern vehicle styling is aggressive to say the least, but Ford’s is especially so. One of these things is not like the others:

This has been my problem with the round headlights... it's near impossible to pull off round headlights on modern cars because safety standards and aero efficiency don't quite allow the lines and proportions of the older cars that pulled them off well. Even Jeeps look relatively soft... their biggest saving grace is that the headlights are so close together and it has the vertical LEDs on the fenders. Completely round headlights just can't be pulled off well on modern cars, they need some sort of deviation

That's to be expected I'd say.

I’m sure Ford will have some sort of accent lights. IMO the Jeep fender lights look absolutely amazing so hopefully Ford has a similar light or alternative.

Paint it three shades of black to "modernize" it and add a couple minor contour lines to the hood/fenders, give it a proper bumper instead of that lame plastic thing and it will fit right in.

LMAO those look even stupider than the round headlights!

I feel like the other reason that Jeep can get away with it is just because the design language has barely changed in the past 40 years or so. That being said, I always thought the square headlight YJs looked best tbh

looks a lot better. The render looks good, and finally somebody put fender flares and over sized fenders for an off roader to put larger tires on but the shape of the wells are square. The bronco does not and will not have square fenders!!!!! LOL.. I seem to be the only who has ever seen the tarped image and is not in denial or something..
Agree on the flares, been saying round since they first showed the tarped version. This render needs slightly more upward rake on windshield, proper mirrors, tweaks to better reflect the removable top aspects and it's pretty spot on.

The article says they expect a rear live axle with leaf springs? Is that confirmed? I would have thought coil is more likely over leaf.
