That looks like coffee — how many miles did you run on this fluid? It looks identical to my RS’s transmission fluid after 30,000 (very aggressive) miles 😅
9,200 miles

Dropping Bronco off tonight for the TSB, hardtop cracking, and electrical issues. This vehicle has spent more time at the dealership than my driveway...

So dealer says all parts have been ordered for my TSB and show delivery between 28th-31st however one of the parts is on back order and they put an expedite in with Ford and are still waiting word. What's Ford gunna do back log our parts so its summer and all the transmissions stop making the noise?

I’m “lucky” I guess? Mine makes the noise at any and all times regardless of temperature.

At least I thought so, no longer taking transmission work, booked through April. Now to call other dealers,
I got this same “transmission work is booked up” line today when I brought my Bronco in for the TSB and a front diff leak. Worried now if this is going to become a trend. Is there a transmission tech shortage now too?

Apparently there is, ford doesn’t allow a reasonable amount of time (which equates to what they pay) for each job. Hard to get people when they don’t get compensated appropriately.

I have the exact same problem with my 7-speed ☹. Picked up my bronco order on 10/18/22, and have been hearing something other than the engine since then (current ODO @442 miles). Quick search today and found this thread, guess I’m not crazy.

UPDATE:

DEC 23- Picked up 2023 Manual with 19 miles on the clock. At the 40 miles mark I thought I heard a high wind noise, but I made to the garage and it was still there. Listened while parked and it was noticeably louder. Poked my head underneath and it sounded more like a heat shield was rattling. Over the next few days it deteriorated to the point of sounding like spinning marbles in the trans. 1st to 2nd gear shift was also rough.

DEC 30- Researching likely problems I found the infamous TSB. Contacted the selling dealer but could not get in until JAN 4.

JAN 4- Dropped off at selling dealer, asked to explain the problem "in my own words". Passed a printed copy of the TSB and stated- "No need, just start it, you can't miss it". Service writer said they wouldn't be able to get to it till the following week. I was not provided a loaner.

JAN 9- Was called and told "there is a serious issue inside the transmission that will require them to replace the whole unit. Due to the low mileage Ford does not want it repaired. Instead, wants it sent back for analysis. A new unit has been ordered and should arrive in 14 business days. And of course being a 2023 with 240 miles, it will be covered under warranty at no charge"

GEE THANKS!!! Service writer also stated no loaners were available.

My math estimates that with no hiccups it should be ready on or about JAN 30.

At which point I've owned the Bronco for 38 calendar days, its had serious issues for 35 days, and been in their possession for 26 days.

I'll be sure to post how this plays out. Good, Bad, or Ugly.

Does anyone have a link to the TSB that was published that they can toss in? My google searches from the phone keep bringing up forums.. I have a feeling I will need it in hand if I want my dealer to acknowledge anything. They are giving us a hard enough time trying to get my wife’s Explorer in with a leaking sunroof with pictures/video to prove it...

Careful with the sunroof, my Volvo just did the same thing, they told me the drains were clogged, couldn’t be cleaned so has to be replaced for 1k not covered under warranty due to it being “outside influence”. I argued with them enough and they graciously “good willed” it.
