Got the blue shackles in and installed. Tomorrow the blue trimmed grab handles come in along with my tailgate Bronco emblem in black. The cactus and blue are a good combo in my opinion.

This just happened when an order holder didn’t go through with the sale. The dealership is under the same ownership as my ordering dealership, so we came to a mutually beneficial agreement (yes there was ADM involved). Nothing like my order; didn’t order a Sasquatch, but I’m damned happy I ended up with one. I ordered A51, but I’m damned happy with Cactus. The Medium Sandstone interior DOES NOT photograph well, but it is very nice in person. It seems fitting that a Bronco named after a creature from the PNW and a region on the Texas / Mexico Border ends up in the Great Basin, roughly somewhere in between. We are, after all, not short on cactus or sandstone.

Took delivery of our Badlands the day after Christmas, and immediately had to drive 2 hours through snow to make it home.

Well I got the grab handles in today and installed.
I leave it up to you guys on which way to install them. The grab handles with blue trim came with the black handle body. My dash is gray, so I interchanged them with both handle bodies. Let me know which looks best.
Side note, if I use the gray body the interior side of the handle is black, and if you look at both dash handles you will see the interior black corners. It is noticeable, my wife likes the gray body and I like the all black body as a break up of the dash trim

While waiting for my Bronco Badlands in Carb Gray to be built, I put out a lot of feelers in case a customer order came in that someone didn’t want. Once the ‘22.5 and ‘23 Wildtraks began coming with the HOSS 3.0 Raptor rack/tie rods and Fox suspension, I nearly changed my order… Cactus Gray has been my backup color as well…
Tues I got a call that a ‘23 Wildtrak with Lux came in and became available. I managed to negotiate to a $3500 ADM, but they had $2500 in non-negotiable add-ons for paint/glass/interior protection, tint and GPS/theft recovery. They honored my $2395 ‘22 Private Offer cert though, so all of the add-ons were nearly a wash.
Then the finance guy matched the Granger 8yr/100k Ford Protect Premium ESP for $50 over cost, so another ~$1200 off. So after everything, really only ~2400 ADM. He also managed to negotiate between vendors to get a great finance rate.
The opportunity was a win/win. There will be the dilemma of to sell/trade/keep when my order comes in, but good options either way.
