11/28/2022 Build Week

Finally after a build date & email on 12/1 and stuck in awaiting shipment for almost 5 weeks, I got an email early Thursday morning that it has shipped and ford tracker reflects this as well.

From Ford chat I also have a CSX railcar number so I can now track it there with them. It’s headed to Chicago next, final destination is Colorado, delivery date is 1/7 - 1/13, but train is not even scheduled to be in Chicago until 1/8, so even 1/13 seems optimistic.

Based on some of these threads it seems like it has a chance to get stuck in the shipped process as well. Not sure why that happens? We’ll see!

Finally the status switched to “shipped” today, was stuck “built” since 12/06.

ETA 01/08 - 01/14, which sounds very unlikely since it’s still at the plant according to ford chat and it’s being delivered to socal.

11/14 initial build week, bumped to 11/28 with 12/12 delivery
12/1 scheduled build date with 12/25 delivery
12/2 actual blend date
12/3 actual build date
12/7 tear tags dropped (whish we had the tracker back)
12/14 received built email with photo
12/21-12/27 delivery window (dealer had 12/25 delivery)
12/30-1/6 delivery update
12/31-1/7 delivery update
1/6-1/12 delivery update

During this entire period, my dealer (via VINVIEW) shows it sitting in a wooded lot (not the rail yard). All the while, my dealer has received one that was built 2 days before me and one that was built 4 days after me. My sales rep has one that has been sitting in the rail yard for 2 months, finally moved onto a rail car the week before xmas, and sat there for over a week. Not sure of current status.

@Ford needs to really get a handle on their logistics, this is beyond embarrassing.

I was moved a few times, finally got an 11/28 date, built on 11/30 and then the tracker, or an email or something, said it was going through extra quality control, or something along those lines and then finally on 1/3 I got the shipped email. Not sure what that QC thing was about but I'm hoping they took care of the 7MT and anything else that was wrong and that it wasn't just some Ford fluff. As of yesterday it was sitting in Ohio on its way to Nashville. Of course last week the ABS controller and heater core on my 2016 GTI decided to ship the bed, which is nice.

My Bronco was delivered to the dealership this afternoon, unfortunately they close in an hour so we’ll have to wait until Monday to close the deal.

So happy for you. With so many still undelivered, this seems like a monumental task. I am super let down. deflated even, I researched Tesla's and that depressed me more, the expected mileage is way shorter, there are no 4runner trd pro's 22 or 23? I am between a rock and a hard place needing a car, and being so so close...... trying to stay positive, but with absolutely no movement in over month, its hard. I feel for all of you that have had longer waits....
