I hope that’s a situation for a lot of us. I thought that was going to be my situation when my delivery estimate never updated even after the delivery window passed. Unfortunately it did not and now I’m just stuck not knowing what to believe or when it will actually come.

Ah…. The factory promotional pictures of the mythical wheel and tire combination that has never made it onto an actual production vehicle.

But being a life-long buyer of Ford products, especially trucks, I knew from the initial announcement we would have to put together our own whee/tire packages if we wanted something resembling the promotional pictures.

I also hope Ice Mountain is not truly what it was last year this time around. If I remember that was because of chip holds for months and months. Hell I’m not even sure those units were ever delivered I never really heard any clarity on that topic. Surely with these being built like it’s so easy just get them off the lot. I hope this isn’t a situation like that, I just don’t see how it could be.
Well mine was built 12/3, "Shipped" email 12/10, it's just sitting in Michigan... Delivery time frame just moved to December 30-Jan 5. But that's basically impossible if it isn't always on a train.

Yeah it doesn’t make any sense. If you remember I had that salesman’s who got built a week after mine and he got the shipped email last week. Well I drove by the dealership yesterday and saw his there. I rolled my eyes big time. That would mean his probably shipped in less than a week. So I’m like well hopefully if I got my shipped Monday or Tuesday it could still make my new window. But I agree I’m like if it wasn’t already on a train before Christmas how does it even make that estimate. And if it was so easy to get his built and shipped seemingly why isn’t everyone’s like that including mine when mine was done almost a week earlier.

the exact purpose of the tear tag number is a little unclear to me. It is listed as correlating with certain software versioning in some of the modules.
However, getting a tear tag number seems to coincide with the completion of the post build inspections and final release to shipping, so it’s a decent indicator of progress.
The tear tag is the PCM strategy that is flashed to the PCM. It is the calibration that runs the pcm/engine. Once you see it, technically it should be running.

wheels…..maybe. Tires? Nope.

here are the wheels and tires on my Sasquatch.

would love to know exactly what they used for those promo pictures. Those are nice wide tires.

Yep, that's what mine looked like except my delivery date (also in Texas - I'm in Mansfield) was supposed to be Dec 30 to Jan 5. Then I got a follow-up email saying my Wildtrak has been shipped and is on its way with delivery to my dealer between Dec 26 and Jan 1. We'll see shortly if that's true or not! If yours is coming to 5-Star Ford, are you in NRH?

I went with Freedom Ford in Greenville, TX (which is a long-ass way from Mansfield) after my local dealer - AutoNation Ford in Arlington screwed me. I found out about Freedom Ford from a guy I met at the Bronco Off-Roadeo in Austin who got his from there, so hopefully all will go as planned and I'll only pay MSRP. If you haven't already joined the Texas Bronco 6th Gen group on FaceBook (Texas Bronco 6th Gen) you might want to. Maybe get some local DFW area Broncos together in the near future.
