11/7/22 Build Week w/ Spreadsheet

So does anyone have any information about average wait times while in chip hold? Are we looking at a couple weeks? Couple months, another ice/dirt mountain?.

I think it depends when they get the chips delivered.
I was on chip hold for 1 week in Sept, problem is I received a Shipped email Sept 30th and still have no idea where the Bronco is. Last update in Fords system is the day it shipped and shows location of a parking lot across the street from MAP, ie: Ice Mountain. Most others in my build week with chip hold have been delivered but not all.
Unfortunately there seems to be no logical reason to how things are done at that assembly plant and after.
Honestly I am a little grateful that your week has another chip hold and am hoping because some of yours are not shipping they will be able to get all of us who have been sitting out of there.

More specifically, does it show the”time in status (estimated)” to be 24 days?

I’m asking because my time in status was reset when I mentioned it earlier in this thread. I am wondering if it reset because I was put on chip hold. I also noticed the amount of other vehicles in this status jumped from about 100 to 700. I actually thought the app just got messed up, but now I’m wondering if it’s something else.

Where were you in order on the 11/10 blend date? I was 132/704. Just curious is you were earlier in the line up as you do not have a microchip hold.

We are number 700 out of 704 for the 11-10 blend date. Almost at the very end. None of our modules came online until Monday afternoon, November 14.
I was very clear in asking both my dealer and Ford chat if there was a chip hold on the build and both said there wasn’t and there is an expectated delivery date of Dec 14. There is the possibility though, since we are late in the blend, that the issues affecting other builds haven’t had time to reach ours yet and the hold is coming.
It’s Ford. Who knows what they are doing, because it looks like they still haven’t figured it out themselves.

I believe Ordertrack is based off the info it gets from Ford tracker website. It has been a little messed up over the last couple weeks but based on my stats it is back to where it should be.

I suspect that it’s not as messed up as we thought. It might be checking the ford website for the status, as you’ve mentioned, but there might be a status code that we cannot see that is changing. Both could be “in production”, but one could be a chip hold production status that Ford wouldn’t want to publish.

That would the only think that could explain why it made the from an expected 5 days in production to 24 days, and also changed the number of vehicles in that status from 100 to 700 (and climbing), all while resetting my time in that status from 7 days back to “0”. Maybe we THOUGH it was messed up, but there is more to it than meets the eye. 24 days is probably more realistic for a chip hold.

that is why I would like to hear from someone that has no indication they are on chip hold.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I do see that there seems to be no common trend or reasonable explanation or expectation. I do feel for people Ive seen in the September build threads that are still waiting, you included. I’d be happy to see movement on people waiting longer, but when i see build weeks after minis getting built and shipped within 2 days it’s frustrating, which we all seem to share in that frustration.


The fact that they don’t use a FIFO system and they use available chips for the current days build regardless of what happened the day before with chip holds is very annoying.

Such confusion! Received email from Ford that my Bronco has been shipped (even though according to Ford Rep yesterday I'm on a microchip hold) this is also what the app is telling me. I'm going to assume my Bronco is "in transit" to across the street from the plant to Ice Mountain

Haha! No, I would think you are actually in transit. Maybe they got the module they needed to star getting some units moving!

After seeing some activity of Bronco's shipping, I am getting more optimistic, but still expecting the worst.

So today chats tells me they don’t see any holds but updated my ship date to December 2nd… still showing as in production in the tracker. I called My dealer also says he didn’t see a chip hold at factory on his side ? So who knows, just hope for the best.

I could be wrong, but I’m not convinced there is broad chip hold on the 11/07 builds. I’m not saying some aren’t on a chip hold, but I don’t think it is wide spread. I think we will see more built emails.

Of course this is Ford, so delivery in March 2023 or later is a definite possibility!

I just hit up chat and they said that mine is waiting on a chip but still said the estimated delivery date was early December... not sure what to make of that.
