Well just talked to ford chat, figured I’d ask my delivery estimate since my railcar has been sitting in Chicago for 2 days now. Original delivery was between November 24-30. Now chat is telling me December 2-8th. I must say I’ve been patient since I ordered in March this year but now that I know it’s built and shipped the suspense is killing me!

Spoke to her a while back — Sam will reach out when it is on lot. And that is when finance will also get in contact. She did say they were taking both price protection amounts off the right away, which is helpful for sales tax (some dealerships send a check later for the 2nd one). If you have a trade you can get that started now, at least the pre-offer part. And I just realized I need to contact my insurance guy — that isn’t going to be pretty going from a POS 2009 Nissan Rogue.
So it looks like our Broncos have been offloaded in Omaha as of yesterday and are now waiting on a truck to take them to Granger. I also noticed that the delivery range got moved up to 11/15-11/21 on the backdoor tracker, was 11/22-11/28. I hit up the chat and got told "Your order currently shows In Transit-Received-Ramp 37, Omaha, NE-ETA Nov-21-2022." So maybe they'll make it to Granger by Monday.

This is me presently. I was in Chicago area purgatory for a few days on the way to the Omaha area... so... some movement.

mcmullen. i am a non traditional buyer. i didn't have an order or anything but mcmullen got an "Allotment" of those of those "lower spec" broncos and were able to get me one in CYO. Since it was being discontinued and it was the color i wanted i had to jump aboard.

I'm not sure. I told the dealer to just send me weekly updates. Kinda trying to surprise myself with a new rig in the next few weeks lol. Mine goes to Ft. Worth to be convoyed here though.

Edit....my backdoor tracker just extended my delivery window another week. Guess shipping woes continue.

Talked to Ford and Granger yesterday, and apparently most of the 11/4 builds are on a chip hold. The 'estimated' delivery to Granger is 12/1-12/7. I guess that is some sort of 'positive' news.

I guess I just don't understand @Ford Motor Company ... did you have someone check your box of microchips one day and be like 'oh, we only have 7 left and we are producing 1,100 a day...maybe we should order a few more? But let's keep producing them in the mean time and let them sit.'?

The Ford chat people have been great, as have the Granger folks, but Ford should really fix their communication (shocking, I know) with customers. I guess I will just sit back in my hammock, staring at my Bronco flag, playing with my Bronco playing cards, while waiting to change the month on my Bronco calendar. #loyalty #twoyearssixmonthsandcounting

What I'm confused by are all of us with tear tags, but no pcm data. I thought your tag was what your pcm is programed with, are they using a single pcm to check everything then pulling it after labeling what your engine needs to run with so they can just program a bunch with **** and slap them in as they come?

From what I've read, and I'm probably taking this wrong, was once you have a tear tag you have a PCM installed and the only thing left to do is get it to a dealer.

It's likely not the PCM that's the microchip shortage. Lots of people received their cars without PCM populating on Motorcraft. It could be hvac module, screen module, heated seat module, etc. Not diminishing your frustrations cause I'm in the same boat and reaching my wits end with delays, but it's likely some other component. Here's something that will make your blood boil: numerous other Broncos with similar builds to ours have shipped out already this week despite the shortage.

Edit: Ford also pays Roush a significant amount of money to finish off plant builds that can't be shipped due to shortages or defects. This keeps the plant moving and always building while people get sidelined.

Same here! I chatted with fomoco and was told a delivery of yesterday. On Monday my dealer called and told me the same thing. Yesterday afternoon, I received a call from dealer with a built, parked and awaiting a chip! So frustrating!

I know some of you are still waiting for your Bronco and I hope you get them soon. I am finally flying down to WV to pick mine up this weekend. In the meantime, to make my Bronco my own, I found a console badge that can be personalized with pretty much anything you want. I was sent a template and was told to go to town and this is what I came up with for my first one. I put my Blend Date, Days from Reservation to Delivery, VIN and name. Great communication and I will certainly be ordering more. I'll probably start a plaque in my garage to commemorate trips and milestones.

It was on Etsy here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/S2Products?ref=profile_header

Here's the preview he sent. In the mail now, can't wait to install it.

I love that! I'm going to need one. My Bronco's name is Sancho because it took too much attention away from my husband 🤣

This starts going back to allotment issues then. The frustration really started when my tracker reset yesterday to 11/09. Initial response from dealer last week was as long as nothing happens should be in Ann Arbor by the end of this week. It doesn't appear promising to me, I was hoping to drive up and pick it up before thanksgiving. I live in North Carolina now and have avoided changing dealers out of fear of mark up and it being delayed even longer.

I shouldn't complain, it's coming eventually regardless. It just makes it a pain to try to plan a trip to get it when we can't get a solid timeframe.
