But Ford also didn't have to limit the number of heritage limiteds. As I said before, they're leaving money on the table by not allowing more people to to get a fully-loaded heritage themed bronco. I would gladly pay more for a heritage if ford would let me add the high or lux package to it.... more still if i could just get a badlands based heritage optioned the way I like, and I'm sure i'm not alone.
Ok but they did limit it and for whatever reason they only wanted 1966 of each out in the wild with the dealers controlling who gets them. I can't help you, if you want it bad enough then start calling around and putting your bid in with dealers and let them make money on you.

Then why did you quote me twice if you can't answer the question?

The only thing worse than ford in this fiasco is the sheer amount of dealers who don’t know what’s going on. Of course they punished the one that did…

Glad this thread got posted. I was trying to understand why my dealer couldn’t place the order but so many here were taking screenshots of their orders. Crazy that dealers are struggling as much as we are with this. I called the “Bronco” hotline and that poor lady knew nothing. And then to ask me to fill out a survey on if they helped me was a joke.

This thread is all over the place. If you want a HLE Bronco, contact a dealer that is willing to sell you one at a price that your willing to pay. Get it in writing and patiently wait. That’s what I and others have done.

If you can’t get one, the HE Bronco is a great option. Good luck!

Glad you are lined up and many others. And agreed, upon searching forums you can find various places where statements are made within threads that provide some clarity. Personally speaking, the unfortunate aspect is the expectation that we all must educate ourselves on forums and I disagree it’s just widely known and clear at this point, especially when folks got order confirmations and NO word from Ford they are in fact bogus orders. That’s why I started the thread. I’m not going to argue the merits of how I should have educated myself by sifting through FAQ docs, online forums, etc as Ive successfully ordered way too many vehicles over the years by simply going to the dealer and placing an order (which one could do and one would get an order confirmation).

Additionally, many potential buyers aren’t in forums, my wife has no idea this forum exists as an example so those pour souls are in Ford Bronco purgatory.

ultimately, sure one can dig around on forums and figure out the game here but not the Ford Bronco hotline, their own dealers, etc, that’s the unfortunate aspect in my humble opinion. It’s a car, I’ll find another, just bought a ZR2 last week as an example so life rapidly moves on. i honestly don’t care that much if it weren’t for my wife having waiting a couple years.

Enjoy the HLE, should be a pretty cool ride.

I seen this coming... hope it isn't across the board with all trims/models. I bit the bullet and paid what I thought was fair a 3k markup and I'm building my own retro/old school bronco.. sorry about the heartache but there are other options. Contact me if you want info on a dealer with minimal markups. Again sorry it worked out this way for ya.

You're spot on. If a customer has to come to this or any forum for answers, Ford has failed at properly communicating. Making these dealer allocation vehicles is just telling the dealers, "enjoy your super mark-up profits," while articles are written about how Ford is cracking the whip on these unscrupulous dealers.

Agreed. Buying a car shouldnt be this difficult.

You should post a few pics of the ZR2!! It's on my list of cars/trucks to get if Ford can't deliver.

I think the bottom line is......if you think you have an order for a HE-L, regardless of what your dealer entered or order email you got........you don't, and it's best to come to grips with that and alter the situation now rather than hoping yours will be the one that magically slips through the system

A dealer may tell you they will sell you their allocation, but even they don't know what model/configuration they will eventually get, and by the time it arrives, it may get sold to the high bidder

It is too bad the system and uninformed dealers allowed people to get their hopes up

What would be the point of them NOT limiting the number of limited edition Bronco's? I'm sure in 30 years we'll see one cross the Mecum stage and the announcer will tell us...this Limited Edition Bronco was 1/150,000 built.

Thats the point of a limited edition...you make it unique and limit the quantity to 1/1966 two doors, and 1/1966 four doors. They do the same thing with the GT..and the cars actually increase in value. If you want the Heritage Limited...talk to dealers, get you name in the hat for one, most dealers are only going to get one...look for small town dealers, ask them what they're doing with theirs....or wait for them to show up on Bring a Trailer/Carmax/Carvana, we all know thats where alot will show up.
