Builders not even live yet, there could be individual options available yet

5.7 or 4.7? No way you have 230k on a 3.7.It's a dilemma that many are in however there is an easy fix. You have a few options:
1) Buy what you can afford and stick with the BD and lower options
2) Upgrade to the Badlands and pay extra now
3) Delay your purchase and continue to save until you can buy the trim and options you want
I decided on #3. I'm nearly debt free. I sold my Lincoln last month and don't have a car payment right now. I'm driving my 14 year old 230k mile Grand Cherokee and I'm continuing to save until I pick up my Bronco. I'm going with either the Badlands or Wildtrak with Lux.
Hidden costs I'm sure. Would $500 make up for the cost? How much extra complexity does it add to the assembly process when every order might have custom addons? That is extra cost to them. Also, they might have made the calculation that they make more just forcing people to upgrade to Badlands.I guess I might be the only one this naive, but aren't the Mid, High, and Lux Packages, just that: Packages? Meaning they bundled together a bunch of options and offer them at a discount through a Package, but buyers can bypass the Package route and order options a la carte?
Sure, the Base doesn't qualify for the Lux Package, but couldn't a buyer still order, separately, an item that is featured in the Lux Package? (Wouldn't it benefit Ford to sell buyers the 12" screen as an option, even if it would run $500+?)
I live in Phoenix and am old enough to have owned a vinyl seated convertible.I want to have the doors and top off 24/7 so need those vinyl seats
I have the coveted 4.0L in-line, straight six AMC engine. Easy to work on and very reliable.5.7 or 4.7? No way you have 230k on a 3.7.
It could add some complexity, but living in a post-Tesla world, where you can build and order your car in any option configuration you want, and Ford boasting about the customizing features of the Bronco, you would think the factory-installed customized options would be a lucrative feature to bringing back the Bronco in the first place. Part of the drawl of the Bronco would be its ability to be built from the ground up, optioned out as any buyer sees fit. Plus rolling over the costs into the Ford financing, versus giving that money to outside aftermarket companies seems like a huge misstep, financially, for Ford.Hidden costs I'm sure. wj crew nice. I was thinking wk. My 00 4.7 is at 146k. I pray to get 200 out of it.I have the coveted 4.0L in-line, straight six AMC engine. Easy to work on and very reliable.
I think I'll keep it to see just how many miles I can get out of it.

I am hoping that is the case as it would make more sense to do it that way . Of course car makers make cars , not sense .I guess I might be the only one this naive, but aren't the Mid, High, and Lux Packages, just that: Packages? Unfortunately, usually not. They do not offer most things a la carte, you have to buy the package to get what you want (and usually a few things you do not want). Unless Ford does something different than they currently do on any other vehicle, no, a base will not be able to order some specific option from the "Lux" package, that option simply will not be available at all on a base trim level. That is how they get people to move up to a higher trim level. Otherwise, people would just buy base with the specific options they want and ultimately would spend thousands less.I guess I might be the only one this naive, but aren't the Mid, High, and Lux Packages, just that: Packages? My 02 Ram with 4.7 had 187K when I sold it. Was still running strong. Started 1st touch every time even below zero. Great engine.wj crew nice. I was thinking wk. My 00 4.7 is at 146k. I pray to get 200 out of it.
Did the dodge engines have the same cooling issues that wj's did? Might only affect the HO models dropping valves or blowing gaskets. My 02 Ram with 4.7 had 187K when I sold it. Was still running strong. Started 1st touch every time even below zero. Great engine.
