I understand, and if I didn't have my Bronco, I would feel the same way! My reservation is for the Bronco my Girlfriend wants... I can promise her the most loaded Bronco ever built, and based on the math, never have to make good on the promise! ;)

Seriously though, I want the WildTrak we ordered!

Yes, unless 700 people rage quit in front of us!

Samantha has been amazing, my WildTrak did increase in cost, but my signed sheet showed an increase of only $279 vs my 2022 order. I am not even going to complain about it.

Thanks again Granger! You are awesome, @Ford Motor Company not so much... Unless they actually have a plan for the reservation holders!
What did you originally order? I’m thinking of doin the same .. I have a badlands SAS high package .. thinking of goin to wildtrak also. Same options , or maybe drop hardtop & tow. Or maybe I read this wrong and you didn’t change , but price increases just hit you.

I'm jumping ship and ordering a Defender. Done waiting and done with zero communication. How y'all with day one reservations are watching people already getting Raptors and not losing your minds is beyond me.
I’m going in to the dealer tomorrow to find out where I stand on their allocation list and maybe reorder.

I’m getting close to ordering a defender or something completely Different like a mid engine sports car.

7/20/20 reservation

I only changed color.

September 2021, I ordered a WT with Lux and Tow.

March 2022, before the 2022.5 increase, I added HOSS 3.0

Today, I confirmed my order with only a color change at 2023 prices at $2000 under invoice. My 2022 order was $53,909 and my current order is $54,188.

No one was ever able to successfully transfer. Ford would just have to honor price protection which they probably don't want to do. Yes, I truly believe they are just hoping people walk away at this point.
I do believe Ford just wants the people with price protection to go away. The problem with that is it's short term gain for them. Many who've lived through this Bronco shit show like me will likely never want to even look at a Ford product again. So some short term accounting benefit while losing long term customers. Not a good business plan when the Bronco was supposed to build excitement about the Ford brand and bring in new customers who were buying other companies products.

How hard would it be for Ford to simply say they're going to spend 2023 filling all the remaining reservations for Broncos! They will sell every Bronco they can make and for them the profit will be essentially the same as filling dealer orders. They'll have a huge upside making long suffering customers happy and then next year they can go back to normal. Seems like an easy thing to do and an easy decision for a Ford leader to make.

Yeah, thanks for the update.

Currently, I dropped roughly 100 spots from the prior list. Looks like '23 might be out of the question.

Guess I'll have to see where I sit when the dust settles and the 99'ers that don't convert have been weeded out.

Maybe I'll get lucky and get picked with the standard Heritage. Right?

Right?

One can hope at least.

Going local or in state with a new order is out of the question. They've been tacking on adm's of varying degrees depending on model and options.

Local Dealer just had a used 2Dr Badlands with 2.3, auto, leather seats, non-sasquatch with upgraded factory wheels, tow package and mid-package. It's a $47k vehicle by '23 M.Y B&P but they have a 'special of the day' on it for $63k.
That's for a used one. I've heard anywhere from $2k to $8k tacked on for new, but I haven't confirmed personally, so I'd be a bit skeptical, but not surprised if it was true.
The average where I live is 12k to 15k.

Ford has contractual obligations to their dealers. Publicly traded companies care about each quarters result, they aren’t worried about long term because that will be someone else’s problem down the line.

It appears that the Price Protection has given @Ford Motor Company an incentive to stall as many of those orders as possible. They can then sell those vehicles for their normal profit. As long as their actions appear to be business as usual, there should be no consequences.

No need to build trucks for the forgotten 21 MY order holders, at least not until those pesky price protection policies expire. THEN someone might revisit that allocation policy!

I'm actually talking about reservation holders orders getting that amount tacked on when they come to pick it up.
If it was a refused/abandoned order, then it's at least $12k to $18k range.

For the leader of the company to constantly put the Tesla purchase experience on a pedestal, this is not the Tesla purchase experience.
My officemate has a Model Y.

Price went up 5 times while he was waiting for his car. He paid the price when he ordered to the penny. No super-secret squirrel maybe you get price protection maybe not, some reservation holders are more special than others BS.

Tesla will play games where they prioritize higher trim models over lower trim ones though. The more expensive your order, the faster you get it.
