I skimmed the video

the only point they had was people getting stranded because of electronics. If you make a offroad car and the computer decides to strand you 20 miles off road then ford should be liable

The transfer case should always work 100% of the time if the car is on and not ever be dependent on another system

If its dangerous to have the button transfer case engage while the car is moving. Then just have an override where you have to hold the button down or something

Its all true if you are a die hard rock crawler etc. Bronco is not what you want in the middle of no where. Solid front axle is what you want. Now if you are a general trail rider and its a daily driver bronco is the in between choice. Everything they said was more or less true, like it or not. I own a bronco,I know what its capabilities are. Electronic 4x4 shifter is not ideal at all. You want a mechanical back up and bronco doesnt. Its boxier for sure. Litebright told it like it is,even if they are jeep fanboys. Lots of truth in the video .. I love their content.

I cant comment. I learned i get more from their videos with the mute on.
Lol,you are definitely in the minority there. Most of their videos are very informative and well put together. You may not agree so why have it on at all? Hmmmmm

i disagree
ford benchmarked the wrangler and beat it. Its a scandal that your computer can leave you stranded when your car is fine. There should be computer overrides

Definitely not too keen on Bronco- spoiler they have sold the Bronco already.

I would argue that Bronco does things different for a good reason

I should add I do like watching their channel and what they do... and I have no hard feelings about their opinions

I have absolutely NO PROBLEMS with their observations. That is why I have argued that Ford SHOULD offer a Bare Bones Bronco.

Naturally Aspirated Engine
Manual Transfer Case
Badlands type axles (4.46) front and rear (Lockers on both) on 33's only with the Badlands Shocks
Non Disconnecting Sway Bar (so that it doesn't directly compete with Badlands)
Rubber Floors Standard with cloth seats, which can be upgraded to MGV is wanted (only option)
Basic Radio and features
Definitely upgraded steering rack and tie rods

Could be super easy to produce and I for one would choose that Bronco over ANY of the others. I'd like to think of it as an Apocalypse Ready Bronco....

I'd say you only have two options, color and which seats you want. That is it.....I know that I am not the only person that would be all over such a build/option.

ford is run by number crunching degenerates

which is why they built it in the ranger factory instead of the f150 factory

we will never get a NA engine or a v8 because of this decision

I'm not a fan of the channel. I didn't feel any Bronco hate at all.

If anything the discussion of Wrangler death wobble seemed to be the biggest negative they talked about in the video. Death wobble can get you and others killed.

Bronco build quality is not good (squeaks, rattles and cheap plastics), not the first choice out in the middle of nowhere ( tie rods, fuel pumps, valves). That's hard to argue against.

I thought it was a good video with opinions based on experience from a neutral perspective.

I absolutely understand and agree. Could you imagine the possibilities of such a build? I think it would be awesome and super reliable. Unfortunately, that does not work into the model of trading in your vehicle every four years, give or take that most manufacturers are hoping for.

I couldn’t watch more than 2 minutes of that video, the format is just awful.

All I’d say is that Lauren Healy did Pritchett Canyon in a bronco and that is way harder than I’m ever going to attempt. Also Lite brite have $100K at least into their Jeep.

Feels more like they were trying to save face with their Loyal Jeep fans that built there brand. I do agree there are several valid points, but things like the shifter seems like an axe to grind moment. They did that with several of the points they went over the top when some are just minor first gen issues vs the Jeep that has had iteration after iteration of improvements and is still just barely keeping up. No way they can say the Jeep and Bronco ride the same on the road with a straight face. Having driven both a modified jeep on 37's will wander all over the place hello death wabble, while the Bronc will run a straight line because of IFS. I don't put much stock in opinions from channels like this though so take that with a grain of salt.

They have some valid points for sure… also some that can’t be, imo, validated unless they are comparing stock to stock across the board. Remember, they just put a hellcat in one Wrangler and are putting a Daemon in another. There is almost nothing that they show on their channel that can be done in a stock Wrangler either. I can’t imagine any true hard core long term Jeeper on their level going with or recommending anything but the Jeep. With that said, I have to believe this is why they sold it rather than dumping $ in to it. Why would they put any $ in to it to produce content for the Bronco when they’re neck deep in really trying to have the biggest, baddest and fastest Jeeps out there, that is their core audience.

I agree with their gripes and thankful some of them have been non-issues for myself. Our MIC top has been rattle free (dirt mtn replacement so for the wait damn well better be) and in general the interior has been rattle free except for having the window half way down it would rattle but I am either a window down all the way or slightly open if it is open.

The rear A/C under the seats is dumb but our daughter in the back has been ok with it and we make sure to the have the lower vents option on to have the rear ac at least going down low. I do agree that the rear seat A/C and having the large console area void of any vents is a big miss.

The lack of cup holders overall having 2 for a 5 passenger automobile is dumb as a box of rocks. I do not tend to have a lot of cups in my automobiles but Jay-sus this is stupid.

I would put Lite Brite in the 1% group and a stock solid axle will off road more technical stuff better overall. It will be nice to see what options come out for IFS on this setup. The Bronco stole me from the 4Runner market. I would venture to say the Bronco is more in line with a 4Runner with some Jeep like features. When they said the Subaru comment I get that, I would maybe say 4Runner on the upper trims as you get 33-35's, better front axle and lockers.

For clarification sake They never said they ride the same on the road. While I’d prefer a movable shifter when in manual mode I’d agree with you that he went overboard with that as a short-coming.

We did the Bronco Off-Roadeo in Austin when it was like 105 degrees. Our kid in the back seemed fine as long as we had the front vents pointing between the front seats. I would much rather just have the vents on the back of the console.

Regarding the rear cup holders, my Badlands Bronco build pic 360 view shows them (stuck in 'In Production' status since 08/08), but I don't think the newer builds are getting them. I would see this as a good sign (maybe for 2023), or it could just be more Ford incompetence showing them.
